One of the best stays I’ve had on Booking.com. The host is a genuinely good guy — always smiling, always ready to help. His family lives downstairs, guests stay upstairs — you get full privacy and peace of mind. The rooms are spacious, with a fan, AC, and hot water. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s always fresh bottled drinking water available. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, covering the entire property — perfect if you work remotely or just want a stable connection for streaming or calls. Every morning starts with jungle sounds — birds, peacocks — peaceful and refreshing. It’s just a 7-minute scooter ride to the center of Weligama, and the road is smooth all the way, so getting around is easy and stress-free. The second floor is kept clean, and they’ll change towels and bed linen upon request. Security cameras cover the yard, so you can even leave your stuff outside without worrying. Solid spot — clean, private, well-connected. Would definitely stay again.

This villa is a rare find! We loved the private pool, room was spacious and clean, beautiful peaceful location and the staff were kind and friendly. They were very kind to our 4yr old son. Lalith was especially great, his English is good and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and a good variety to choose from. The free tuk tuk to Mirissa each day is also great.

Best value for money so far in Sri Lanka. Great location by the river. We saw some tree snakes, peacocks and chipmunks. Nice balcony to chill on with breakfast. Air con was perfect and adjustable. Nice towels.

Wonderful Stay at SithRu Villa – Highly Recommended! We originally planned to stay just 2 nights at SithRu Villa in Matara, but we ended up extending my stay to 4 nights because the experience was so great! A special thank you to Mr. Mangala, the manager, who made my stay truly enjoyable. He was incredibly helpful and kind – he arranged a van with a very nice and reliable driver so I could explore Matara and the surrounding areas comfortably. It made a big difference in my trip. Mangala also helped me order delicious breakfasts and dinners, which I really appreciated. The food was tasty and freshly prepared, and the service was always warm and welcoming. The hotel itself is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing – a perfect escape from the busy city life as I live in sjngapore with my family . If you’re visiting Matara, I highly recommend staying at SithRu Villa. The hospitality and service, especially from Mr. Mangala, made this one of the best parts of my trip. I’ll definitely return again!

Absolutely phenomenal experience! From the moment I arrived, it felt like I was stepping into a dream, thanks to the warmth and hospitality of Sam and Santa. They went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, offering tips for local attractions, and even checking in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling intrusive. The house itself is breathtaking – amenities were truly exceptional, with everything from a plunge pool to a fully-equipped kitchen that made me feel right at home. It was clear that Sam put a lot of love and attention into every detail. The vibe was so serene that I didn’t want to leave so I extended my stay here! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for an unforgettable, luxury retreat with hosts who genuinely care about your experience. One of the most friendly hosts in all Sri Lanka. The bungalow is beautiful located and well taken care of. Everything was very clean. My girlfriend had birthday while the stay and the host arranged a surprise for her - really really nice. Would come here definitely again!

This was the best stay in our whole trip (3months). Everything is just perfect. The family is so nice and helpful with everything. Location is next to the river and it is very quiet. The room is so big and just perfect with small kittchen. You can find many beautiful details and it is very cozy. They surprised us few times with some sweets and one morning they served us their breakfast. We love their dog 🐕

This was truly a hidden gem in Matara. The place is super clean and nice, the kind hosts were very helpful and supportive. This place had fully equipped kitchen (Microwave, Hot Plate, Electric Kettle, Juice Maker, Refrigerator and all the kitchen equipment you could ever want), There were two rooms which was super clean. Also this place had an Electric iron and there were Washing machine (we didn't use the washing machine) although the place is bit far from town, It is in close proximity to Polhena beach, which is a very beautiful beach. My first impression and stay at the place is not 10 out of 10, but 100 out of 10 ❤️. Highly recommend place and will definitely visit again.
