Asiri and all the team were very welcoming. They brought us wet towels and juices when we arrived. The rooms are amazing (super comfortable bed, nice bathroom, hot water, A/C working perfectly) and the pool area is also great. A small paradise not too far from Negombo center (a tuktuk ride away), but that proportioned us the best conditions to relax after such a long flight. The dinner was okay. Breakfast was very good. Thank you! I super recommend staying here.

A very nice accommodation located near Negombo. I would definitely recommend it to anyone either leaving Sri Lanka or just arriving. It’s a perfect transit point because the accommodation meets European standards – not only in terms of equipment, but also cleanliness, which is on a higher level than what is usually found in Sri Lanka. You won’t miss anything here – and at the same time, you can enjoy the authentic Sri Lankan atmosphere all around (nature, local life, traffic, and friendly people). The place is very clean, the garden and pool are always well-maintained, and everything works (air conditioning, TV, fans, fridge). It has a great location – close to the airport and just 5 minutes by Uber to the beach. The ride to the beach costs only 340 LKR (approximately 1 euro). The owners are truly kind people, and it's easy to communicate with them about anything. There are also two lovely, clean dogs and a cat on the property. The food here is excellent. For lunch and dinner, you can choose from about eight different meals, which change regularly. There is always a choice – from local Sri Lankan dishes (including fresh fish) to European-style meals, so everyone can find something they like. The owners buy fresh ingredients every day.

We spent the last day at this hotel before our early flight the following day. The property was very quiet, in fact we only saw 2 guests in the whole time we stayed there. We spent the day having lunch and swimming in a lovely setting. Rooms were lovely and dinner was very nice.

Top hospitality! Owners and sfat were super nicd with me: I was suppose to leave Sri Lanka and they let me keep the room also in the afternoon (despite check out was at 11 am) Location very closed tk the sea and you can visit market also by walking. Rooms are wonderful, with everythjng you need and also very nice. Breakfast is vedy good (fruit, eggs, toast, tea) Thanks again for the lovely time!

This is an oasis in Negombo. We had the Elephant suite. It has views of the river and it has its own pool. The rooms are spacious , the bathroom is lovely. Staff are so nice. We did the river boat trip ( Extra cost , but worth it), and saw kingfishers. An owl and bat island. Breakfast and dinner were both really good. Great place to either start or end your trip to Sri Lanka. Highly recommend.

Wow what a lovely memorable experience staying at the Dutch Canal Retreat. A very new accommodation, tucked away along the Canal a surprise to arrive at this beautiful place. Our villa appointed with hand crafted teak & wicker furniture , lighting,modern shower, & refrigerator . The hosts were so accommodating providing delicious authentic Sri Lankan breakfast as well as a special treat lunch. The beautiful pool so refreshing with the bonus spa jets for added relaxing after a busy days sightseeing. The staff warmly welcomed us, as they were attentive & always ready to accommodate any need. This hidden gem is definitely one to visit.Anyone looking to stay somewhere special .
