10 out of 10. Highlights: the owners and the property itself. We stayed in a twin room that looks like your own apartment. Clean sheets, towels, a fan and mosquito nets are provided and the shower/toilet is outside clean and with warm water. There are also some chairs outside of the room where you can chill. The location is nice, less than 10min walk from the center/bus station and in a quite area. Furthermore, in the common open area there are some tables, a fridge and some kitchen gadgets to cook for yourself if needed. The area is so welcoming to have some breakfast, chill or as I did, to do some laptop work (wifi works perfectly!) Couldn’t ask for more, specially the owners, they are so kind, welcoming and taking care of every detail and helping with everything we needed. We were planing to stay one night and ended up staying five! Highly recommended!

Our stay at Hotel La Dolce Vita was nothing short of amazing. The friendly staff welcomed us with warm smiles and excellent service, truly making us feel at home. The room was impeccably clean, adding to our comfort and relaxation during our stay. Situated in the best location, we had easy access to all the amenities and attractions we wanted to explore. And let's not forget the amazing food served at the hotel, which exceeded our expectations and left us satisfied after every meal. One of the best stays I’ve had on Booking.com. The host is a genuinely good guy — always smiling, always ready to help. His family lives downstairs, guests stay upstairs — you get full privacy and peace of mind. The rooms are spacious, with a fan, AC, and hot water. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there’s always fresh bottled drinking water available. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, covering the entire property — perfect if you work remotely or just want a stable connection for streaming or calls. Every morning starts with jungle sounds — birds, peacocks — peaceful and refreshing. It’s just a 7-minute scooter ride to the center of Weligama, and the road is smooth all the way, so getting around is easy and stress-free. The second floor is kept clean, and they’ll change towels and bed linen upon request. Security cameras cover the yard, so you can even leave your stuff outside without worrying. Solid spot — clean, private, well-connected. Would definitely stay again.

Sapiens is a haven! Away from the crowds, calm quiet and peaceful. On the river with a pool and wildlife everywhere. The staff are super helpful and got me a bike the first day which means I feel like a local. Breakfast is delicious and the pool is perfect for a lazy day or post surf dip to cool off. I can highly recommend staying here.
