The location couldn't be better; it offers access to a nearly "private" beach complete with comfortable long chairs for ultimate relaxation and sunbathing. The bed is exceptionally cozy, complemented by a mosquito net, and the bathroom provides a delightful bathing experience. Falling asleep to the soothing sound of waves crashing nearby is incredibly tranquil. In the mornings, the opportunity to witness the sunrise while spotting turtles swimming along the shoreline adds a magical touch to the experience. The breakfast spread is delightful, featuring a variety of fresh fruits, eggs, bread, and sweet potato with coconut. The staff's warmth and hospitality were evident when we arrived; they always assisted us, even greeting us with a refreshing king coconut drink. Conveniently located on the same road are numerous restaurants, just a 2-minute walk away, offering plenty of dining options for lunch and dinner. This place is a dream come true for surfing enthusiasts, with waves right in front of your room and additional surf spots just a 10-minute drive away.

I rarely write such long reviews, but this place is truly amazing - it is something between a 5-star hotel and a hip beach community hangout. The location beyond amazing - it is right on the beach and there is a freshwater lagoon right next to the property - you can go paddle-boarding or kayaking in the lagoon if you want, or if you prefer the ocean - go there. Or both. Getting to the hotel is fun - a very narrow road meanders through a lush forest and you think you are going to the end of the world, then you arrive at a stylish hotel with a lush garden right on the beach and a elegant stylish pool in the middle. The pool looks like an architectural accent, but it is actually a pool. The hotel is right on the beach - you can even have a table moved to the sand if you want for breakfast, lunch or dinner - or anytime actually. The food and cocktails at this hotel are like at a 5-star establishment. But the staff is friendlier:-) The menu is traditional Sri Lankan with a twist of different flavors - some European, some Malaysian, a bit of Thai and African. The food is excellent, the fish is locally sourced from the fishermen that are 50 meters away. All of the rooms face the ocean. The options are a room with your own very large balcony facing the ocean, or a ground level room with your own spacious patio facing the ocean. The beach is about a kilometer long - empty, no umbrellas, no vendors, no shacks - just fishermen going about their business. If you feel like talking to them (most barely speak English) you could. If not, just set up camp under the shade of the palm tree and you feel like on a deserted island. Once that gets old you can go back to the hotel - the food, the cocktails and the service put a 5-star establishment to shame! Zander is the most excellent and amazing host ever and has the sweet, friendly dog named Loki, who is a constant source of "cuteness" around. This is a magical place!

Very beautiful location, very nice and clean room and delicious breakfast. And the staff was so friendly and helpful with everything we needed, including booking our trip to Yala. Really recommend.

Location was great. There was easy go everywhere, nice beach 100m way from. Owner and othet stuff was great and owner son (I quess so?) Offer tuktuk drives where ever you want, and cheaper than other local drivers. Room was big, clean and there was also comfortable balcony!

Clean rooms, clean garden, clean area, all day the hotel staff are working the keep everything clean and nice. If you are at Sri Lanka you know how rare the clean hotels. This is one of the few of the places where you feel the cleanest . Friendly and very kind owner !
