Ferndale’s philosophy is rooted in nature and respect for the ecosystem. It is a luxury hotel where sustainability and eco-friendliness take top priority. All food is locally and organically sourced, adding to the authenticity of the experience. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner, who shared his vision with great passion and pride, making us appreciate the concept even more. The retreat is located in the breathtaking Knuckles Mountain Range, near Kandy. The untouched nature makes it a perfect destination for stunning hikes, which are thoughtfully organized by the team. Along the trails, you can discover hidden waterfalls and encounter unique endemic wildlife. Lastly, we must highlight the outstanding service and incredible food. The staff goes the extra mile to make your stay unforgettable. The meals are amazing because of the freshness of the ingredients and the dedication put into every dish. The room was neat and bathroom clean enough. The caretaker Pereira was extremely helpful. There is no breakfast or food service, plates and cutlery are available. The family room was spacious, a double bed in 1 room and a single bed in the other smaller portion. Quiet and good for sleep.

The beauty of the house exceeded all our expectations! Every single detail is well thought out and perfectly placed. It feels like you never want to leave—you just want to stay forever. The staff is incredibly professional, and the breakfast is outstanding, on par with five-star hotels in Paris. The only thing I’m sad about is that we had only two days there. I had a wonderful experience at Seven Luck Palace. They were extremely accommodating and their service was exceptional. The room was also clean and very comfortable. They all go beyond to make my stay enjoyable. I took advantage of the location and atmosphere as well. Seven luck palace is located in a quiet & calm village in the middle of the green jungles with all birds signing freely. I highly recommend them to anyone visiting Kandy.

Serenity Villa Digana was an absolutely breathtaking place. If you are looking for a calm and quiet retreat, this is the ideal destination for your vacation. It was a fabulous experience. The villa is situated in a nice, quiet location near Victoria Reservoir. The staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cater to our needs at every step. The room was well-maintained, with all amenities available, and the breakfast was delicious and filling. I wish I could have extended my stay for a few more days. I will definitely come back on my next visit.
