Still very good to reach by tuk tuk, by train: from Colombo to Jaffna stop Parasanfaswewa - railwaystation S. Titon. Etc. 5 minutes from busstop. From Anuradhapura busstation bus no 861. Stop Paradanjaswewa, Jambirija Swewa road. Or bus nr 161. Busstop Village Garden Inn, Ithalakotiyawrwa. More information to get from host 071-3121570 (0094). If you stay a week or more a kitchen can be used. Every day around 18.00 hours you can see elephants quite nearby at one of the thee lakes. 2 or 3 or 6. Very exiting. They come to drink water. This hotel was outstanding! Impeccably clean, with delicious food and incredibly kind staff. They went above and beyond to solve a problem we had, arranging everything perfectly for the next day. Super organized and attentive. Highly recommended for an exceptional stay! Dinner was excellent, with an exceptional rice & curry and delicious kottu (a local specialty).

We loved how peaceful we felt staying at this property! It was a true village life experience. We would recommend taking a walk to the lake which is only 5 mins from the property. It is also conveniently located close to all the main historical attractions in Anuradapura. The staff are very friendly and helpful and even helped us organise a Tuk Tuk for sightseeing.

This place has everything you need, even an adapter for charging your phone. The hosts are very friendly, gave a lot of info about visiting the temple complex and you can even rent a bicycle. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, a mix of local and continental food. A lot of thought has been put into making this beautiful place, nothing is missing. There is a garden also and lots of plants. You won't feel cramped here, the rooms are very spacious and also clean.

Great location behind the main street but quiet (except when a occasional train goes by). Looks nicely renovated and the staff were really lovely and helpful. Room was simple but clean, stairs into the bathroom are a bit steep. Aircon worked well.
