Shaamyn had been the most graceful and helpful host ever! He was very helpful, responsive and even organized a night fishing excursion for us on his boat and even help us prepared the fish and grilled it. They do housekeeping for our rooms and change new towels for us every day. Breakfast was simple but delicious and they specifically catered to our schedule for breakfast. We can even eat at the nearby restaurants and charge it to our tab which we paid back to Shaamyn before we left. Shaamyn even offered to exchange to the local currency with very reasonable rates. The venue is very near to the Bikini Beach (within 2-3 minutes walk). The island itself is pretty small and can be covered within 20-30 minutes. The sandy beach is very fine and clean. If you are looking for privacy and less touristy island, then this place is highly recommended.

Ari Grand Hotel on Dhangethi Island exceeded all expectations during my recent stay. The friendly staff made me feel truly at home from the moment I arrived. The clean swimming pool and inviting garden sofas were perfect for relaxation and work. The spacious room, along with the unexpected upgrade to the Jacuzzi Suite, added a touch of luxury to my experience. Breakfast was a delightful treat each morning, with a variety of delicious options. I'm already planning my next visit to this serene oasis. Thank you, Ari Grand Hotel, for an unforgettable getaway!

The best touristic experience of our life. The seaplane transfer was well organized, only 25 minutes to the island from MLE. We stayed 7 days in a beach villa, close to the peer. It was comfy, spacious and always very clean thanks to Esa from the maintenance compartment. The staff was very helpful, the kitchen was variable and really delicious. I have to say thanks to Ali and Sonjeet, they were extreme friendly and kind. Such as at the restaurant we had Heidi, Muneeb and Visham and the whole stuff; so wonderful people who are there for every moment to make our holiday even better then best! Nova is brand new, with an exceptional house reef and great sealife. Dive spots are really good, wreck dive can be done. Thanks to Tanya who was a great dive instructor for my AOWD course, and she was very patient and kind to my 8y old doughter at the boublemaker program. Do not miss the whaleshark watching! It was a breathtaking moment to see such a big fish so close to you. It was our 4th time in Maldives, but this experience is a different level then the others. Its really touched our soul! We (and chocolate the giraffe) gonna come back for sure! Thanks Nova!

Honestly this was one of the best places I have ever stayed. In the room I had everything I needed and believe every guest need. The room was clean, bed was really comfortable, AC was working properly which was very important on a place like Maldives. But the best thing ever was the staff and especially the host of the place, who was ready to help with everything he can. He waited me at the port, when I arrived and after the check in walked me around the island. Very helpful, great personal attitude, ready to help and answer any question. Next time we will make the fishing trip we didn’t this time because of the weather. The guy who served breakfast and cleaned my room every day and also the other guy who helped me with luggage and gave me ride to the port were also amazing. Overall this is a place that worth visiting and I will do it again!

We had an amazing stay in Dhangethi and at Dhangethi Inn. I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely the island is. Pretty sandy streets, nice shops, great restaurants - there seems to be a lot of business from visiting yachts. The owner of Dhangethi Inn was extremely friendly and helpful and the excursions were amazing. The beaches were clean and beautiful. We could have stayed much longer!

It is a small enough island to walk around.

It is a small enough island to walk around. The locals are extremely friendly - always saying hello. There are 3 restaurants all along the west coast. Compass seems most popular. But all are good with same offering of food. There is a fair amount of building going on at the moment as they gear up for more tourists. We used South Ari Dive for our diving trips. They are professional and friendly.

Great for diving but not so great for snorkeling.

Great for diving but not so great for snorkeling. The reef is very far out and at times the current was very strong. Prices for trips to see the whale sharks were quite expensive at 75 USD. And there were tons of other boats at the same spots - very zoo-like. Bikini beach, the only beach you can swim at in only your bathing suit is fairly shallow and windy. The better beach beside it requires you to be clothed. However, the local people are super nice and helpful.

The staff tries to keep it very clean.

The staff tries to keep it very clean. They are friendly and would help with anything. The food is varied and very rich. The massage therapists are at a very good level. I did not like the markup of goods in the only store. The ratio is ten times.

Firstly to clarify the resort is located in Theluveligaa, not Dhangethi. Theluveligaa is a small island, I was a solo traveller (mid 30s female) the water villa is amazing and the outside space is spacious with a lot of seating options. I hardly spent time on the beach. The resort itself is very quiet even when full. There are no motorised sports however you can kayak, snorkel and dive (you can get your licence there) and do other trips: Whale Sharks, Mantas, Turtles. The food options are good, drinks are expensive a juice will set you back $18 staff are friendly, especially the dive instructors (Julia & Ebu) and receptionist (Maria) I would definitely recommend this resort and felt safe on my own.

Quiet, lovely colourful houses, quite small but surrounded by other islands. Head for the jetty especially at sunset. Two recommended cafes/ restaurants: Compass with its verandah dining tables where you can watch rays and baby nurse sharks being fed at dusk - the maitre d’ - Sampath was charming and obliging and the food was amazing. Try also the Blue Moon Cafe with the equally charming Anup as maitre d’. Not much coral as the island is surrounded by sea grass

A beautiful location. with some good snorkeling, which is provided by "Mother Nature" not the resort. In all other respects the resort is poor to terrible. We paid £10,500 for 10 days A.I.P; party of 4 in two poorly maintained Jacuzzi water villas. (Not a Jacuzzi- brand name - a Sovereign Spa Hot tub.) Some services offered simply don't work, and management are fully aware of this but continue to advertise. Guests are treated with disdain and rudeness by client relations team/management who are not visible. Included trips - Sunset Punch / Dhangethi are an excuse to try and take some more cash from their guests. They offer only excuses...."we are on an island so it is difficult to.....(insert complaint here)" "All Inclusive MInus" is a better description of their package. Got much better service, food, accommodation and customer care in Mauritius/Zanzibar/Thailand/Florida/Dubai/Turkey/Madeira/Cyprus/ Marakech etc etc.

A very well sized hotel, just as we like it, and it is run by locals and not by a corporate chain, and this was also of importance for us when we booked. The is something like an authentic local life on the island, that is something we also appreciated. For travellers who do like individuality it's the perfect choice. The architecture is simple but nice, the location is excellent, the stuff is unobtrusive, helpful and very kind.

- Great location, clean , comfortable, and functional - staff are very helpful and friendly. Faarii was generous, friendly, happy and very welcoming person. - Lunch was good, and decent breakfast (coffee and tea were available all the time for free - comfortable pillows and bed - very good WiFi - The hotel organises diving and other sport activities and tours, I’ve not booked with them but just FYI

I liked the location. The breakfast was ok but nothing special (as expected in Dhangethi). The rooms were spotless. The room attendant was very nice and his English was very good. With the hosts it was hard to communicate because they spoke very little English.

The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. They took good care of us. They organized the transfers and we got a very nice breakfast box (to go) when we had to leave early for diving. The hotel is family run and we were treated very warmly. Thank you!

Communication with the hotel prior to the arrival was very good. The staffs were always very attentive. There are plenty of food options (mostly meat) and they use a lot of spices. Facilities are good and well maintained.
