IsraelMy wife and I when to this resort for our honeymoon. we knew the prices where high but it was worth it. we looked also for a place that will provide a free transfer and we eventually booked the Varu resort with the water villa (best choice we did!). we had the best time of our life. the food, the place, the unreal scenery, the staff and the room. everything was just right and worked so well. also we had very good weather luckily. words can not describe the experience but i can attest that from the moment we got picked up from the airport and until the moment we came back to Male, we where treated no less than queen and king. every aspect of our experience was no less than a 10! we are already planning to get back there with our families in a big family suit so they can enjoy the same experience with us. we where in tears on the checkout. please treat yourself with staying in this heavenly place.

The villas are very luxurious and spacious. The food is also great especially the Peruvian Kayto restaurant. There are a lot of activities to do. Ideal for honeymoon goers.

Perfect location because it is close to the Male airport. Transport with speed boat is possible and there is no need for an expensive water plane. Nice small islands. A great place to relax. Starting from meeting at the airport and ending with departure. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the staff. Room service was at the highest level. VARU is nicely located, not far from Male, therefore, the boat ride is only 40 minutes and it is a comfortable ride. The place is nice with all the atoll characteristics, clear water, sandy beaches, Coral close by, sand banks close by, not big but not small either. The food was great, experienced Maldives cuisine as well as international food. Top notch service while under the VARU Resort stay and transportation between boat transfers and boat activities. Room service was twice a day to tidy up room, re-supply mini bar and get new towels. Distance within resort are reasonable and getting used to location of restaurants, activity centers, reception and spa are within knowledge after a couple of days. Included activities are restricted to good weather, therefore, schedule as soon as possible to give yourself enough time to reschedule if needed. Good variety of motor activities available but at additional cost….and good weather. Great bar with a wide variety of drinks nonalcoholic or with alcohol from 10:00am to 1:00am (it’s 5:00pm somewhere). Good internet reception (if needed).
