Loved the decor of the place and room! it was stunning and finished to a high standard! the pool felt like a private terrace. the owners were super helpful and instantly replied to all of our messages! we loved it and would come back again.

Beautiful location, the view from the top floor rooms is stunning. It’s remote and quiet, the sunrises and sunsets are amazing. The pool is so nice and there are so many lovely seating areas. The kitchen is great and well equipped with clear spaces for food storage and the rooms are stylish and clean.

Hidden gem, lovely host, accomodation is immaculate and well maintained. Great price for Puerto Escondido as well!

Well, this has to be one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. I say ‘place’ and not hotel, because really, it feels more like you’ve come to stay at your (very) cool friends house. Raiz had only just opened as we arrived. It popped up on booking.com the day before and we booked it nervously because, well the photos looked amazing but it had no reviews. Best decision we made this trip. This project has been a labour of love for the young team and you can feel every ounce of love and thought they have poured into it. When you stay, ask them the beautiful story of why it’s called Raiz (Roots). You can see from the photos how beautiful the space is, the rooms, the bar, the pool area, every tiny aesthetic thought about. What you can’t see is the atmosphere they have created. Filled to the brim with thoughtfulness and care everybody connecting and enjoying the space together. Helped along generously by the superb bar and the delicious concoctions that flow out of it. I can highly recommend the Brebaje, a mezcal cocktail with Oaxacan mint that is good for digestion, it’s basically medicine. In fact everything here, the food and the drink is all steeped in Oaxacan tradition. Whilst we were there the restaurant was yet to open in the evening (this was happening at the end of Jan). However, as we were on our honeymoon they treated us to a sneak peak at what they would be offering and organised us a candlelit 5 course tasting menu on the roof. WOW. We knew it would be good because the brunch and lunch menu was so delicious but WOW. Once they open for food this place will be buzzing. The extra level of care is what this team have got down to a ‘T’ the service is magnificent. They really couldn’t do more for you and it is why we doubled the length of our stay and are already planning on when we will go back. Thank you guys for the most memorable stay x

I‘ve had a wonderful stay at Punta Kai. The facility, the location and especially the staff is awesome. Thanks to Nanny & Naz (and the rest) for being so nice, helpful and funny <3 the hostel is a perfect mix of social and relax. I will miss this place and all the lovely people

We loved everything about this hotel! The architecture, the lovely staff (including restaurant, cleaning, bar, reception and also security), the rooms, the restaurant, the small lovely gestures (we stayed at the pool one day and got surprised with fresh juices and ice cream), the music, the smell… The breakfast is amazing and the food we had at Glou Glou was absolutely sensational. We also loved that it‘s a bit off the beaten path from busy La Punta but still only a 7-10mins walk to the beach.

Lovely place. The most beautiful and atmospheric hotel I have ever been to. It’s placed on the beach. Good is great. Staff is nice and helpful. 😍
