We only stayed here for one night as we needed a place to stop on our way from Sesriem to Luderitz, but if your time allows you should stay for at least 2 nights! The place is outstanding, from the drive from the gate, to the reception/restaurant area to the chalets. We needed a quieter evening so didn't join the sundowner drive, will certainly do next time! We stayed by the pool and went for a short hike around the farm and saw the most breathtaking sunset. There are lots of other activities to do The dinner and breakfast where exquisite! Loved the ice-cream too. They have a lovely family and the whole place has a warm, homey feel. Tjaard recommended a distillery on our way to Fish River Canyon and we went there for a tasting and came back with 4 bottles of Namibian Gin and brandy. Many thanks for this! Looking forward to seeing you again in future!

The fact that Kronenhof is located slightly away from the main routes is exactly what gives it its special charm. The private campsite is beautifully equipped with a spacious, luxurious bathroom and a large covered terrace. There are great facilities for grilling and campfires, as well as a laundry area for clothes. Just a short walk away, you'll find a small pool with refreshingly cool and clear water – perfect for relaxing. We were warmly welcomed and felt completely at home during our stay.

Surrounded by the Namib desert, Betta Lodge is located at the crossing of the C27 and D826 route. It offers chalet-style self-catering accommodation, a small coffee shop and BBQ facilities.
