We absolutely loved our stay at Agora at Playa Maderas. Victoria was an incredible host and was so helpful in giving us advice about how to spend our time there. The location is remote, but we're so glad that we stayed there and not in the hustle and bustle of San Juan del Sur. The house we stayed in exceeded our expectations and was beautifully designed, super comfortable and just a great place to hang out in, cook in and feel the breeze come through. The beach is stunning too and it's just a short 8-minute walk away down the creek trail (assume this is only open in dry season). We loved Playa Maderas and absolutely recommend this as an awesome option for somewhere quiet and beautiful.

This accommodation looked like a castle from a fairy tale. Very quiet and peaceful environment. Nice clean rooms, terrace with a beautiful view. The pool is also a big plus, although I didn't have time to take a bath because I was exploring the surroundings and the ocean. It's a bit further from San Juan del sur, but the very helpful and friendly Alvaro drove me to town and back. A short walk away is a beautiful quiet beach with a great bar and food.

Highly recommend staying at Buena Onda. Baba was super welcoming from the very first minute and makes you feel at home. Celine’s breakfasts are out of this world and really made my morning every day. Both of them were amazing hosts. The hostel is super clean, has an amazing view and outdoor/coworking area. The rooms are super spacious and stay cool during the night. Excellent value for money. Can’t wait to visit again.

The water slide, pools. and diving area were incredible. Food was excellent with good options. Breakfast was excellent. Loved the location nestled away in nature. Grounds are stunning. And of course the "standard king room" is a full size suite / 1 bedroom apt!
