I loved how friendly and welcoming the receptionist lady, Christine, is! She made my stay a lot better with her great attitude. Thanks again, Christine, I enjoyed our chats! I also liked supporting a local family business as opposed to a soulless big chain of hotels; you're actually supporting people who live in the local community with your money. The area that the hotel is located in is very beautiful, there are lots of places to go sightseeing nearby, all within walking distance (or by bus); like the historic city center, the palace, the forest and the parks. I also enjoyed the healthy and delicious lactose-free breakfast options; the hotel actually bakes its own bread. I was relieved by how clean the bedroom and bathroom were compared to other hotels I've visited, as well. The owners clearly take good care of their hotel! No mold or bedbugs or anything like that. It's not the most modern building, but I found it charming. I was really happy that the room came with a fan during the humid Dutch summer heat... The windows can be opened, as well. The free Wifi was also convenient!

    Apeldoorn is a lovely town with a good selection of quality shops and restaurants. We had a fabulous meal there but our hotel was a bad choice and left us very deflated and unsatisfied. I would visit Apeldoorn and Zeist again though as they were very nice

    A lovely City with great shopping, fabulous restaurants and...

    A lovely City with great shopping, fabulous restaurants and lots of fun bars all within a short walking distance. Ideal for a nice getaway with family or friends. There were lots of museums and everyone was so friendly in all the places we visited. The Food and drinks at Hotel et le Café de Paris is a must. Finnegan's Irish pub is a little piece of home in the Netherlands. Theater Orpheus is fabulous for live shows.

    Beautiful city with the palace "het Loo", and lively center with many places to go to and divergent shopping facilities and many different restaurants and good food. I ate at a great Indian restaurant. The prices for food and drinks and even in the shops are lower than in the West of the Netherlands. Nice people and city, easy to go around and safe.

    quiet city with low traffic, very nice & well preserved houses, beautiful park, very clean streets, little lakes, rivers, grass & flowers everywhere. Bicycle facilities & proper roads for their use. It is an ideal place for relaxation & for a foreigner to see the Nederlands countryside.

    A very nice town and great transportation to the National...

    A very nice town and great transportation to the National Park De Hoge Veluwe where you can pick up free bicycles for traveling in this nature reserve AND to visit the amazing Koller Muller museum with a beautiful modern sculpture garden and collection of Van Gogh and other painters.

    It was my second stay at this hotel. On both occassions I was welcomed by a very friendly member of staff. I liked that each room had a different design and I love the exotically perfumed soaps/gells. The rooms are clean and in our newer double room we had a state of art coffee machine. We also treated ourselves to a dinner in the restaurant that was exquisite. The breakfast contains everything one can wish for including Dutch and local delicacies.

    The hotel is being refurbished. There is outstanding modernisation and renewal. The pricing is good value for the rooms. The price / quality ratio is good. The star know this and are amazing. It’s a family owned business and they really care. Free street parking is available, including EV chargers. You can walk into the city centre in 25 minutes or a taxi is €10_€15 I would stay there again.
