First time in Norway and it was as we had imagined, beautiful scenery and a peaceful atmosphere. The hotel is beautiful, our room had a view of the fjord, it is incredible to fall asleep and wake up with this view. All the staff were fantastic, always smiling, friendly and ready to help you. The restaurant is very good, we tried the reindeer for the first time and we loved it, also the cod served with miso sauce is very good, we recommend it. We will suggest the hotel to our friends who are interested in visiting Norway.

Incredible location, situated right in the city center with amazing views. On the ground floor of the hotel, there was a bakery with the most delicious pastries and good coffee. The room itself was clean, with a tiny kitchen and all the necessary utensils. We stayed as a group of four and had beds in separate rooms; essentially, it was two separate rooms with individual entrances, connected by a door. We had breakfast included, but it's worth noting that breakfast is served at another hotel, about a 5-minute walk away.

Eidfjord is a really beautiful city.

Eidfjord is a really beautiful city. We enjoyed every moment there with those landscapes. Mountains, river and sandbeach will give you more relaxiation. You will have everything that will need for your stay. There is a small supermarket as well though we didn't think about the price ;-)

Eidfjord is a very practical location since from there is...

Eidfjord is a very practical location since from there is access to many activities and visits that I would recommend such as Vøringsfossen, Kjeåsen, Norsk Natursenter - Hardanger and a lot of sensational excursions. Apart from that you have Hardangerfjord, the Ulvik/Voss area, Hardangervidda just a few kilometers away by car. And the town is small, quiet and charming.

Eidfjors is an idyllic place with many things to do or enjoy...

Eidfjors is an idyllic place with many things to do or enjoy. As main attractions you have the waterfall of Vøringsfossen, the norwegian nature center museum and the farms and views of Kjeåsen. Apart from that, other spectacular waterfalls and fantastic hikes. It is also a good place to relax and do nothing.

Absolutely cute cabin right next to the playground, very cozy and perfect for a few nights camping experience with small children. The staff was very nice. It is worth staying a couple of nights longer. There are lots of things to see and do close by (Natursenter Hardanger, Vøringsvossen, Eidfjord, nice walks...). Beds were comfy, and they even had a baby bed.

So far (over a week of driving in southwest of Norway) it has been the best value for money stays we've had. Kitchen inside cabin was well equipped with everything we needed to make a quick meal. We even managed to get our laundry done with the washing machine located at the shower/toilet facilities. Would highly recommend if you want good value for money.

This hotel certainly made our trip to Norway even better. It is located in a beautiful area. The rooms are new and spacious. The host is very friendly, welcomed us warmly, and gave us great tips. We definitely felt at home.

Spacey room with tiny balcony and renewed bathroom. Fossli Hotel has very unique atmosphere and the history is very present (we loved it). Also a lot of art to be seen all around.
