A beautiful guesthouse in a quiet backyard. The center of Leknes is just a few minutes' walk away. I didn't miss anything. My two-day stay was perfect, even though the weather was quite bad. Really great location - close to the main road but quiet; panoramic windows facing north so we managed to see the northern lights ❤️ newly cosily decorated; comfortable beds; kitchen has all needed appliances/plates/pots/utensils; washing machine really convenient for longer trips - would really recommend this place! We were there in the beginning of September so didn’t get to enjoy the terrace as it was windy most of the time.

The central location of Leknes on the Lofoten Islands was great for exploring the south and north. Shopping and dining were within walking distance of the apartment. I had a tasty fish and chips at the Diggs restaurant. The Bunpass grocery store had a lot to offer, and they had the best cinnamon rolls!

Leknes is not the real tourist draw in the lofoten, but is central with a lot of busses going through if you don't bring a car. The bakery near the bus station and Sakura can be recommended. We didn't try other places.

Leknes is extremely convenient if it's the first time you're staying in Lofoten. There are plenty towns to visit within a 1.5 hour range of driving and if we had more time we would have ventured further. We only stayed for 4 nights but it was enough to visit a number of well known towns/villages like Henningsvær, Nusfjord, Å, Reine, and Svolvær. It is a very small town but it has everything you need like a large grocery store, a fairly large mall, some great take away places like Pizza Bakeren, conveniently located charging stations for your electric vehicle, plus some hiking trails very close by which I think is the norm throughout Lofoten in general. The airport was only 7 mins from where we stayed and it's also very easy to get to. The Lofoten Bakeri is a very popular cafe and bakery and has excellent coffee. I highly recommend Leknes as an entry point into Lofoten. Next time I will stay in Svolvær purely because it's a larger city with more connection points to activities etc, and because of it's proximity to popular places further north. You need minimum 2-3 weeks in Lofoten itself if you really want to experience it fully, but I would stay for months if time and finances allowed!

Leknes was easy to get around for groceries or drinks. We had a great meal at Digg. Anita's in Reine is worth the trip for the fish sandwich! Spectacular scenery - everywhere! Could have stayed another week.

Leknes is an incredible place, easily accesible through the E10 road and strategically located in the Lofoten islands so that you can access a miriad of wonderful sites within <1h ride. Plenty of services like supermarkets, petrol stations. A perfect basecamp for your trip to Lofoten.
