Everything was 😊. We loved the accommodation very much and thoroughly enjoyed sleeping within a vineyard. In the evening we had a great Pinot noir from the host’s vineyard. The breakfast had a lot of choice and many things were homemade. To hear bellbirds was also special.

I was only in Alex for the one night, for a wedding. The place is very clean, typical of NZ country township. All the usual shops, pub, petrol stn, golfcourse and nic nac shops. Great weather, sunny and warm

Alexandra is a beautiful place well known for beautiful winery around the district Places to go to are not far to travel You can go to Clyde.Queenstown . Wanaka. Cromwell all between 15 minutes to hour and half lovely scenery 😀there is a lot of history up and round Cromwell and the gold mines

There is a big clock on the hilltop.

There is a big clock on the hilltop. A big playground in the city centre. An information centre with a museum and a small gallery in the same building. We could walk along the river in the bush. Grocery shopping was easy as there are two major supermarkets, New World and Woolworths. Fast food was easy to find. Cafes offer good-tasting coffee. There is plenty of free parking in the town centre, from where we could walk almost anywhere around the town. Alexandra is a small town for a visit, where you want to unwind in a laid-back setting. It is also close to Cromwell and Roxburgh, where you can go for cherry picking in the summer.

Nothing to not like about Central Otago, Biking is superb...

Nothing to not like about Central Otago, Biking is superb with Gold Trails, Dunstan Trail and Rail Trail all at your fingertips. Great cafe and restaurants in Clyde such as The Post Office and Olivers and The Court House in Alexandra.

Alex is a great central place that you can get to all the good spots from. Much better than staying in Queenstown with all the traffic and planes going overhead. Accomm a bit more reasonably priced too

Great cabin - if a bit small.

Great cabin - if a bit small. Great view of mountain and cows. Beautiful breakfast and friendly hosts. Ate at Mexican restaraunt (seemed like the only one open). Good food and ambience. Would go back again.

Our room was in a gorgeous location, overlooking a sunny vineyard, just a short drive to the centre of Alexandra. Breakfast was excellent, but what was really outstanding was the dinner prepared by our hostess, featuring a lot of produce from their own extensive vegetable garden. It was definitely one of the best meals we have ever had in New Zealand! Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay another night.

The location was perfect as we had gone to Alexandra for a funeral and were in walking distance to the place it was held. There was plenty of easy parking for our rental car. We had an upstairs apartment but the stairs were easy to negotiate and there was a hand rail all the way up. The apartment was roomy and the kitchen well equiped.

Was an amazing place to stay! An amazing view is super close to Alexandra centre is well so it’s perfect mix of wanting an amazing view as well as easily accessible into town. Had a coffee machine is well, so me being a coffee adict absolutely loveddd that!

Comfortable and warm room on a lovely rural property, but not far from either Alexandra or Cromwell. The bed was very comfortable, and a great shower too. Bonus was a nice continental breakfast provided.
