We felt so welcomed by the fireplace which was so warm and cosy when we arrived in the night. Thanks Diana for setting it up for us! We loved the wooden furniture in the house. The place was warm, cosy, clean and we especially liked the heater bulb in the bathroom which kept us warm when out of bath. The guitar in the house brings back wonderful memories for my son-in-law which he appreciated. Thanks Laurie-Ann for putting your trust in me. Coromandel was the nicest place we visited on the Coromandel...

Coromandel was the nicest place we visited on the Coromandel Peninsula. It is a charming and unspoiled historic town. There are some good restaurants there too. We recommend the Star and Garter Hotel and the Turkish restaurant was great.

You need to be invested in water sports, boating or fishing...

You need to be invested in water sports, boating or fishing to really get the best out of this town. Long Bay is a good spot for swimming, but I would recommend only at high tide. We went at low tide and walked over 200 metres from shore and the water was still only thigh high. Would be great for younger kids as there is little to no wave action. Kauri forest walk was great, and the walk around Long Bay shoreline was scenic. Weather was showery, but very humid, odd for Mid February. Shop prices were on a par with Wellington which surprised me considering we could not get an Americano coffee anywhere!! The 4 Square is a gold mine - everything we needed we got there. The best shop in town!!

We really enjoyed Pepper Tree Restaurant and the Top Pub meals, seafood was stunning. Recommend Anchor Lodge to stay - really comfortable. Lots to do no matter your aga and ability - beaches stunning - we didn't want to leave

We only stayed one night on our way from Auckland to Rotorua...

We only stayed one night on our way from Auckland to Rotorua. This was the perfect stop over as the roundtrip on 25 road brings you to beautiful places on Coromandel Peninsula. We had fresh mussels in town at pepper tree which were delicious. Not sure if we would recommend for a longer stay. Not that much to do.

Lovely and spacious and light and comfortable and peaceful and idyllic. Nicely tucked out of the way yet within 15 mins walk of Coromandel Town centre. The menagerie, consisting of chickens, big soppy dogs, a cat and a goat added a wonderful feeling of homeliness. If I could write a book I would gladly spend several months writing it here.

Very comfortable accomodation with an excellent breakfast. Our host Louise was very welcoming and she gave us many good suggestions for our stay. Her dog, Missy, is also very friendly to guests! The room was furnished to a high standard. Coromandel town is the ideal location to explore the Coromandel Peninsula.

Located on the water in Wyuna Bay, the upstairs apartment has stunning views of the waters towards Coromandel Town. Everything we could have needed was there, rain or shine. We got a swim in on the beach in front of the apartment, and the deck was sheltered for evening sits to watch the changing skies.
