Everything was perfect. There were even six types of wine in the refrigerator that we could purchase at a reasonable price. There were sheep all around, but you couldn't hear them through the well insulated windows. It was really delightful.

Great little motel on our way back to Christchurch. About an hour or so from the airport and much nicer than an airport hotel. Very comfortable with some nice food options around. Very friendly staff.

House was perfect for our family of 5 (3 teenage girls) and had everything we needed. I was worried about the cold coming from Perth but the bedding was super cosy and warm and the house warmed quickly with the split AC/heater. We loved our stay in Ashburton - Weka Retreat and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Everything about our stay was perfect. From the beautiful bedroom all the way through to the perfect breakfast. We could not have expected more. The property is a botanical treasure with a grand garden. The home is a fine example of Arts & Crafts architecture. Just a wonderful experience with our hosts welcoming us with charm and generous hospitality. There was excellent local information provided to enhance our stay. We would unhesitatingly recommend this property when in this part of New Zealand.
