Everything.. the property was a good location to be just outside of town but not too far from everything. Surrounded by a beautiful garden, and bird song. Not to mention Nicky was an absolute gem of a host. Made us feel comfortable and welcome as soon as arrived.

Fantastic accommodation. This is a five star apartment....the shower is spacious and powerful- a most important feature! The bed extremely comfy with beautiful linen. Well fitted out to make your stay very comfortable and Luisa has added a few little luxuries to make it an extra special place. The apartment is a couple of minutes walk from the wharf where you will find great shops, bars and restaurants. And we can definitely recommend the bike hire shop on the wharf ( think it's called kiwi journeys)...very helpful. We took the ferry across to rabbit island and cycled the great taste trail to Richmond. A very pleasant day out. Thank you Luisa. We hope to return.

Cosy, clean and homely. Every aspect of our stay was well thought and very welcoming. From the warm room to comfy bed and easy access. Can't forget to mention the location is just perfect. Cannot recommend highly enough! We were made to feel so welcome and comfortable in this absolutely beautiful home filled with wonderful art. Highlights were the hot tub and the incredible homemade breakfast feast which we enjoyed with fellow guests and our great host.

    We enjoyed the local restaurants .The fish and chips at the smoke house were delicious,as was the smoked snapper we took back to our lovely accomodation.The meal and customer service we experienced at Mapua India Eatery was first class.A great spot to base your self,as you are close to many locations

    A great spot away from the hustle of the city.

    A great spot away from the hustle of the city. The apartments are right next to the Wharfside shops and eateries ( highly recommend the fish and chip shop for yummy fresh gurnard meal - much cheaper than the restaurants.) Convenience store not far away. Would definitely come back again.

    Stunningly beautiful! Everyone should visit. Beautiful place. The Apple Shed had friendly staff & food was very fresh and yummy! Alberta’s was the best breakfast ever! Walking & biking is easy around Māpua. People are very friendly in this quaint place.

    Our stay was outside Christmas, New Year and school holidays, so quiet. Had no issues getting meals at Mapua Wharf, plenty to choose from. Great base for Golden Bay and Nelson. Love taking the ferry to Rabbit Island and biking.

    I have stayed in Mapua many times while holidaying in the region. Its a perfect spot if you don't want to be in the more metropolitan Nelson/Richmond areas but still have all the facilities at hand that you want on a holiday - restaurants, cafes, shops, pub, supermarket, petrol etc etc while still only being half an hour away from Nelson etc

    We were in the Lazy Fish unit, one of two comprising the Laughing Fish Studio. An excellent location only a few minutes walk to the Mapua Wharf with all its shops, cafes and bars. We had a clean, tidy one bedroom unit with a comfortable bed. There was a modern bathroom with a large shower and very good water pressure.
