The room was beautifully and tastefully decorated in a modern minimalist style. The views on both sides were stunning and showed both the coast and the estuary. Everything. Lots of personal touches- milk, butter, jam, snacks and basics for cooking. Lovely host and gorgeous collie dog. Good bbq. Pub close by ( closed Monday).

The lovely manager of the property made everything relaxed and easy, including our unplanned late arrival around 2am. The property is a NZ motel, which means it is a type of unit with its own kitchen, and an informal personality that is quite unlike chain hotels. The location right on the beach with views across the water and up the coast feels like a place far away from city life. The beach is rocky, and not really suitable for swimming (unless perhaps with rubber aqua footwear) but good for strolling with a mug of coffee, fossicking for driftwood and shells. The unit was warm with the heating on and the excellent beds have electric blankets as well.

Because of work I didn't have breakfast but the location amazing both Claire and Steve were amazing host love the family atmosphere thankyous very much.

Hands down one of the best places we stayed at. The hosts are great, makes you feel like you are home. The breakfast is very enjoyable, fresh and you have plenty of options from cereal, toasts to scrambled eggs. The rooms are clean and comfortable, clean bathrooms and enough resources on a fully booked day.
