Our only mistake was to book our trip to Milford Sound with our travel agent in Sydney. The package was suboptimal, and we are already planning our next visit with an exclusive sailing boat cruise The tourism information staff was exceptional. Every booked activity was fantastic We are an elderly couple; however, the jet boat experience on the Dart River (UNESCO World Heritage Area) was amazing. A visit to Arrowtown (14 kms from Frankton) is a must

Queenstown is beautiful and there is plenty to do. We enjoyed some great walks and the drive to Glenorchy is beautiful. The town was s very busy and parking can be difficult but we were able to walk everywhere. The Cow still has the best pizzas. Breakfast on the beach at the Bathhouse Pavilion was great.

Queenstown is beautiful small town by the lake with great views and food services. I wished I have planned more time at Queenstown to explore the beautiful sites around in day trips. 2 days was not enough, maybe a week of so. If you like nature, you will love Queenstown!

Queenstown is like a beautiful swiss village in the heart of stunning natural beauty including pristine alpine lakes, several good ski slopes and world class hiking trails. It has a real international feel with travellers and workers from around the world. There is a great range of accomodation and activities here for all tastes. The only downside is food and accommodation is quite expensive, especially for a family. Even the price of groceries is exorbitant. Coming from Melbourne we found it hard to find a reasonable priced meal out. The quality of food is hit and miss. Some places look great but the food is lacking. The best food in queenstown is at FergBurger and FergBakery as well as Erik's Fish and Chips. Would highly recommend NZone Skydiving, Lighthorse Adventures (horseriding at Glenorchy) and the Ben Lomond Hiking trail.

Absolutely gorgeous setting for a cute little town.

Absolutely gorgeous setting for a cute little town. Great shopping, restaurants, and activities. Some people say it's too touristy, but I didn't find that the case (although compared to the more remote areas of New Zealand, it definitely feels more crowded)

Amazing location, lovely staff. we paid a little extra for a lake view room and I would definately recommend doing this if the option is available. It was amazing. Parking was free in the generously sized car park and due to its location was a nice 15 min stroll into the centre of Queenstown which was such a bonus a parking is extremely hard to come by in town. The hotel felt a little dated but that didn’t distract at all from our stay as it wasn’t important to us

Accommodation meets the expectation as per price. It values for price. In this price you getting heated room, bathroom and free breakfast in queenstown , what else we need. $100 for a nigh plus some bread, cereal, coffee ad toast plus wifi and free parking. If somebody needs comfy beds, side table and luxury, this is not for them, If you want better room facilities, book a hotel. It is motel

Large room with comfortable bed and spacious bathroom (and shower). Friendly, welcoming check-in staff, and the complimentary wine tasting on arrival was a nice touch. We were able to walk into central Queenstown, although it's a bit of a hill on the way back to the hotel (but you can always take the shuttle bus)
