It was already my second time at Nuts Huts. I came back because of the unique experience you get at Nuts Huts. Yes there are many stairs, the rooms are basic and you may encounter animals as it is located in the jungle. However, everything is so transparently communicated with detailed messages before your arrival that you really know what to expect. We arrived by boat which was a really beautiful experience and a cheap river cruise ;) The river is truly beautiful, we also did some Kayaking in the evening and were almost alone in the beautiful scenery. I really enjoyed relaxing on the terrace with good food and the unique view of the jungle. This is what I came back for and may come back again, who knows.

Sunrise views, the staff were amazing, friendly and very attentive to any needs. The girls helping out doing work-experience from the local school were particularly amazing and made me and my wife's stay! The in-house brewery beer tastes great. Our room was huge and stunning! The swimming pool is a generous size and kept clean, with palm trees surrounding it. Breakfast was also great. No complaints!

A little piece of heaven on Earth. We absolutely loved this place — every detail reflects the owner’s love and respect for nature and animals, beautifully expressed throughout the resort. The location is off the beaten path providing a rural vibe. Angel and his family are the most warm and kind hearted people we have had the pleasure of staying with during our time in the Philippines. While staying here you are considered family and we don’t say this lightly! The location is close by some villages, waterfalls and a short motorbike ride away from the beach. The main tourist attractions (tarsier sanctuary, chocolate hills) are a bit further away, but we loved driving around on the motorbike around the island, which you can rent from them for a very reasonable price. Angel also provided lots of tips and recommendations regarding where to eat and itineraries for exploring the island. You stay on a little farm with cute piglets, cats and a dog. Behind the cottage is a hill overlooking the island providing a beautiful view of the sunrise. Overall we can not recommend this stay enough, we had an amazing time at Bohol largely thanks to Angel and his family.
