Stayed here for one night while passing through, was too short, the owners were more than helpful, waiting up for us as we didn’t arrive till late and gave us breakfast early next morning. Spotlessly clean , shame we couldn’t have stayed a few more days. We will be back

Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with tastefully renovated facilities that reflect great attention to detail. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. We spend in hotel four nights as my nephew participated in compition. The hotel is one of the oldest in Portugal (how we understood) so don't expect any new things, but for us it was perfect. The breakfast sattisfated us, swimming pool was great and even can enjoy with coctails (very kind girle who works in bar). The parking is safe, but hotel not guarentee that you will have space. However we spend good time and the staff was very friendly.

This hotel is remarkable for its location. Its like entering a museum or movie set, but you're welcomed in and invited to relax and enjoy your stay. Because it's a period property, some of the amenities reflect an earlier time period, but we had everything we needed and found the details charming. The gardens and surrounding grounds are beautiful, even at the tail end of winter, and you're up in the hills, so the air is crisp and clean. The dining room and lounge are beautiful and the meals were excellent, focussing on mostly local produce. I highly recommend dining on site. If you have the opportunity, stay here!

The pool is nice, with a lot of places to rest and salt water. The breakfast if full of options. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, in the city center. Big rooms. Nice stay!
