WE CHOSE THIS PROPERTY FOR THE FAMILY HOLIDAYS. WE STAYED IN TOMATO ROOM FOR ONE WEEK (2 ADULTS + 2 CHILDREN) THAT FITS US PERFECTLY. THE POOL WAS GREAT. DAILY CLEANED SURROUNDING AREAS AND THE BEST BREAKFAST WITH THE TASTIEST ORANGE JUICE EVER (FROM THE FARM ORANGE TREES) AND OF COURSE, ANOTHER LOCAL PRODUCTS. WE MISS ALL OF YOU 🐶 🐴🦚. Case de Viana do Alentejo was absolutely beautiful. It is in a really old house right underneath a castle just like castles that children draw! The room was spotless, bed comfortable, and there were beautiful old shutters in the bedroom and bathroom. There was no one else staying there and the town was quiet. The host was very welcoming and helpful. There was a lovely terrace where we could sit out in the moonlight under the castle with a glass of wine! Pretty special. The small town is lovely. We did struggle to get food on a Tuesday evening in November and hadn’t appreciated what a great kitchen there was at Casa Viana. We could have brought our own food to prepare. We used it as a jumping off point to go to the beautiful town of Evora. All in all I would highly recommend.

More of a village than a town with quirky streets. Very well located for touring this part of the Alentejo region; 25 miles from Evora and similar distance from Beja. Visit the dam near Alqueva for fabulous views of the Barragem de Alqueva.

a delightful village in a calm environment- for a break it was wonderful. we overnighted there en route to the central region of Portugal. For that it was an easy stop. We could have spent a few more days there, relaxing, especially if it had not been lockdown

Absolutely amazing place. A castle turned into a luxury hotel. Clean, friendly, helpful, polite. Fantastic food, morning buffet was wonderful. Sweet little village. Beautiful stop on our way thru. Would have stayed longer if time had permitted. Really hope to go back. Thank you, Tiago and staff.

Lots of history in Pousada and the surroundings. There are a few things to do around Alvito, but there are not enough things requiring to stay longer than a day in Alvito. We had a nice dinner with all the food and wine sourced from Alentejano. There was only one person serving, but he was amazing.

. Quiet location but not far from Alvito, Viana or Vila Nova da Baronia where you can find several restaurants. . Host and hostess are very friendly without being intrusive. . Nice breakfast.

Very central accommodation in Alvito. Good size room. Bathroom small but sufficient. Very nice breakfast in morning. Hotel is elegantly furnished. The restaurant onsite is now not open.
