The place for surfing, sun and beach life. Several kilometers of gorgeous sandy beaches and nice waves, suitable also for the beginning surfers. All the necessary services are available. This is defintely a beach town.
This is defintely a beach town. I was there in the "off season", although my visit spanned New Year's Eve and there were a lot of day-trippers. Not sure I'd enjoy the place as much as I did during peak season. I was lucky to find on-street parking close to my hostel. I would not recommend having a car here in the summer. So convenient to beautiful sandy beaches, numerous local resturants and promenade for walks. Only a 20/30 minute 'bolt'/taxi ride from airport or into Lisbon city. The apartment was spacious and comfortable for a family of 4 and had two large balconies. Our hosts and cleaner were very approachable and helpful.
