Take the train from Porto, relax and enjoy the view along the way. Pinhão is a laid back 'Village' in the stunningly beautiful Douro Valley. I have been before and it hasn't lost its charm. Douro Tour group was great.
Douro Tour group was great. Recommend the all day Douro Valley tour with boat ride, lunch, wine and port tastings, vineyard tours. It is an easy walk from Quinta Rosa to Pinhão. I loved the small town feeling but yet everything you need was right there - supermarket and a great variety of restaurants. Small town/village right on the river. See,s to be the go to destination for boats moving up and down the river. Great central location for vinyards and touring around. It's an authentic way to experience a quaint town like Pinhao and a short walk to the station and the port. He has a great cafe (Cafe Imperio) right across the road from Pinhao station, too. Our room was in Amarella cottage a few minute walk from the main house which was lovely and had its own pool! Food at the restaurant was great including Tim’s Terrace.
