It's a nice apartment on the lower part of Prazeres. You will have a view on the sea and on some parts of the mountains. Lucky, there's a parking lot right next to the house and you only need 8 minute by foot to the next supermarket and pizza restaurant. The owner is very friendly and I was greeted with a clean apartment. There's a kitchen but it's only missing an oven. On the other hand, there are 2 big bedrooms, each with an own bathroom (shower and bathtubs). From there you reach Funchal within 45 minutes by car and the streets are in good condition. I made some hikes in the area and if you're not with a car, taxi (Bolt) there is no problem. Be careful about bus stops as I had trouble to find them. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to everyone who likes to have a quiet environment and a more rural experience. For a more organised daily life, a clothes rack at the entrance would be nice so I don't need to put my jacket away in the bedroom.

I had an amazing stay at this apartment—it exceeded all my expectations! As an architect, I truly appreciated the beautifully designed interiors and the stunning architecture of the house itself. This apartment, located on the upper floor, is a gem compared to the one on the ground floor, mainly because of the massive terrace with breathtaking views. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, always available to help. He provided us with a personal list of must-visit locations, and we chose Calheta for its promise of peace and tranquility. It was the perfect choice—after a full day of exploring, we returned to a serene oasis surrounded by nature. The apartment is equipped with everything you need, whether you're staying short-term or long-term. I can’t wait to come back, and next time, I hope to bring friends along so we can book both apartments and enjoy this wonderful place together!

From the very beginning, we felt warmly welcomed – the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. The apartment itself was comfortable, well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. However, the biggest highlight was the unforgettable sunset view, which took our breath away every evening. The location was excellent, communication with Jorge was smooth, and the entire stay was hassle-free. We highly recommend it and would love to come back!

Very small village with no people so if you are looking for that, it’s perfect. We have the villa just for ourself so it was very big and we felt like in italian villa with a really big kitchen and terrace.

Everything was great The food was very tasty and varied.We really like Poncha lesson and the folklore group of Madeira :) Just a quick shoutout to commend your team, especially the animators and service staff. Prazeres is a small village.

Prazeres is a small village. It does have a restaurant and a bar but that's about it - we did not hang out there much. You can do a levada walk that starts from Prazeres, which is nice, and close by (~15 min drive) are Calheta beach, Paul do Mar, and Jardim do Mar, which are tiny beach villages which have a couple of nice restaurants. The north coast and Funchal are at a 40 minutes drive. If you have a car, the location is nicely located; if you don't, I wouldn't choose this spot, because there isn't much to do in Prazeres itself.
