We liked literally everything ! The hotel has a variety facilities including an infinity pool, indoor heated pool, sauna, Turkish bath, lots of outdoor lounge seatings. It offers complementary daily shuttle to Funchal and transfers to nearby levada walks. Breakfast was super delicious with many options! Best of all, the people are just amazingly friendly and kind! They went above and beyond to help us! One day we had to miss breakfast for a sunrise hike, the kitchen staff packed us sandwiches, water, fruit juices etc. Do yourself a favor and book a room in this hotel :) I hope we will be back soon!

Where should I start ? It is not a big place so it is very calm and quiet The room was spacious and spotless clean, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast is so delicious and various. There is a wonderfull pool with excelent jacuzzi and amazing view (beutiful sunrise and sunset) But above all it is the great staff Everyone is so nice and welcoming and yet very professional And Petra !!! she makes you feel at home (already missing you) No way I won't be back !!

Gabriel and Jorge, the hosts, can create an atmosphere of being welcome, of being home - not being client XYZ… The suites/apartments have roughly the size of a big hotel room (including a nice bathroom in the rocks), but with a big terrace facing the sea. The mattresses are of good quality so the basis for a good sleep is ensured. The kitchen (which is part of the room) has a single ring (induction) and a microwave - enough to prepare a breakfast, but not a full-fledged dinner. But there are enough nice restaurants in Calheta centre or… one can book a meal prepared by Gabriel, who is not only a great host but also an excellent chef. It was really a wonderful time we had at this place, thanks Gabriel and Jorge!

The location was perfect for me with the beautiful view of the ocean. It is a small house - very private and even with the very high temperatures outside - the house was comfortable. This is the place for people who are looking for a quiet place with fresh air and starry nights. You need to rent a car if you want to choose this place. The owner was very nice, as a welcome gift we received some fruits from his garden and a bottle of wine.
