City close to do many places to visit: fortress, many monasteries with their tranquility and museums ( Agapia, Varatec, Neamt, Sihastria, Sécu, Sihla any many others) , bison reservation, memorial houses ( Ion Creanga, Veronica Micle , Vlahuta , Popa) . There is history at every step. You just need to be mindful of it. Very good food and terrasses . Nice small town next to the Neamt old fortress, and in driving distance to around 20 old orthodox monasteries. Also the town of Romanian author Ion Creanga, in the Humulesti village nearby it’s his memorial house museum. For quick shopping you have local small shops and Lidl.
