I would definitely recommend getting a car, bringing some books and some nice warm clothing. There is plenty of hiking in the area and you are only 20 minutes away from the lake. A good quiet place for relaxing and hiking. The travel on the Osmica railway was excellent. If you travel on public transport, check the schedule on the internet. A jewel in the Balkan hills. The Train Ride through the mountains each s spectacular. Great hiking and biking paths. Saw some motor cycle clubs too. Else just hang out and taste the mountain air. My favourite place was Mecavnik, Sgarganska Osmica, Banjska Stena, the smallest river, 365 meters long “River of the year”, Zaovine, Visegrad. The best restaurant is in Sarganska Osmica, which has affordable prices for the variety of food they offer.
