Firstly, of the last 10 km offroad, only last 2 kms is really bad..but still manageable..can be done via 2wd also, but not in rainy or muddy season. Now coming to the property, its really a hidden paradise..the moment you enter you are mesmerised by the views of the lake and serenity around..rooms are large, spacious and self sufficient with fridge, kettle, tea etc. The owner Philipe, is really a gentleman and a great story teller..u can talk to him for hours without getting bored..all the staff is really nice and the chef cooks amazing meals...there are many activities also that can be donesuch as kayaking, boat tripa to nearby islands etc, or jst swim in the lake in case u dnt want to do anything.. If given a chance, would love to stay here more frequently.

Everything was amazing. We received an exceptional welcome, the food was healthy and delicious, and we got all the assistance we needed for touring. My kids loved the lodge and all the activities they experienced, including cruising on Lake Kivu, swimming, enjoying the fishermen experience, and of course, playing cards. We had an unforgettable time. The owners, Aicha and Ivan, are incredibly kind and caring. It was a wonderful vacation. Umurobyi is a peaceful and quiet place - with a great view, perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

Scenic location overlooking Lake Kivu. Very friendly staff. Well secured. Comfortable room with terrace. Copious breakfast. Tasty food (but too limited menu options). Excellent swimming-pool.

WONDERFUL PARADISE IN THE HEART OF RWANDA. Definitely it was the best choice. After a long trip we couldn't imagine how beautiful and relaxing this piece of paradise is. Everything was PERFECT, all details were absolutely cared for: Spacious room in an individual home with very elegant and local decoration. Best bathroom ever!! Huge bed, super comfortable. Amazing view to lake from the room. Wonderful terrace to enjoy a cup of coffee. The garden, the beach was extremely cared and clean. Breakfast and dinner was unbelievable. The staff was SUPER SUPER NICE, they helped with EVERYTHING. And the owner, such an impressive woman in charge of Paradise. The location is stunning and overlooks the lake on both sides - with a short walkway down to the lakeshore. It is a supremely relaxing spot with goats and sheep roaming in the garden. Deborah and the team are superb hosts and we felt very much at home here.

Recently stayed at Natamber Apartments. The staff was very responsive and helped guide us to their location easily. The views were amazing and the location is close to the Lake and good restaurants. The staff cooks delicious breakfast as well. Highly recommend.
