Firstly, of the last 10 km offroad, only last 2 kms is really bad..but still manageable..can be done via 2wd also, but not in rainy or muddy season. Now coming to the property, its really a hidden paradise..the moment you enter you are mesmerised by the views of the lake and serenity around..rooms are large, spacious and self sufficient with fridge, kettle, tea etc. The owner Philipe, is really a gentleman and a great story teller..u can talk to him for hours without getting bored..all the staff is really nice and the chef cooks amazing meals...there are many activities also that can be donesuch as kayaking, boat tripa to nearby islands etc, or jst swim in the lake in case u dnt want to do anything.. If given a chance, would love to stay here more frequently.

I spent two wonderful nights at Umurobyi Lodge in Kibuye and was deeply impressed from the very first moment. The owners gave me such a warm and genuine welcom. Their attention to every detail made my stay truly special. The full-board arrangement was perfect, with delicious meals carefully prepared and beautifully presented each day. The lodge itself is majestic yet cozy, offering a touch of luxury within a warm, family-style atmosphere. It truly feels like a home away from home. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking (Lake Kivu shimmering at sunrise, swimming cows along the shore, and the mysterious beauty of Bat Island nearby). A big thank-you to the entire team for making my stay unforgettable. I cannot wait to return!

I loved the scenery overlooking Lake Kivu. Nirvana has a lovely pool with a good view of the lake.. Also loved the local hut inspired room designs equipped with modern toilet facilities. The location is also a walking distance to the beach side where you can board a boat to get to the natural hot water springs ("volcanic water").

WONDERFUL PARADISE IN THE HEART OF RWANDA. Definitely it was the best choice. After a long trip we couldn't imagine how beautiful and relaxing this piece of paradise is. Everything was PERFECT, all details were absolutely cared for: Spacious room in an individual home with very elegant and local decoration. Best bathroom ever!! Huge bed, super comfortable. Amazing view to lake from the room. Wonderful terrace to enjoy a cup of coffee. The garden, the beach was extremely cared and clean. Breakfast and dinner was unbelievable.
