Everything was beyond excellent and our stay was smooth and amazing. We stayed at B2 room (the one which has bathroom and bedroom on one level) and it was fantastic. Super comfy, big bed, room was spotless clean. Every day our towels were changed and room cleaned up. We also got water bottles every day. The staff is very helpful and polite. Because we came for our honeymoon we received a complimentary bottle of wine and a vouchers to one of the restaurants which was very tasty. The taxi from and to the Pier on our arrival and departure was arranged by the hotel and it was also complimentary. We also rented a bike from them and gave our laundry to be done without any problems and for good price. 100% recommended! If we will ever come back to Koh Tao this will be our place to stay. Thank you very much!

Absolutely amazing service, staff was friendly and very helpful. Location was for me great. Quiet area, close to the bars, restaurants, cafes. Grocery just downstairs. Easy very good breakfast. 12 mins walk to the very shallow beach, better to take free hotel shuttle to Sairee beach or to Pier. Hotel has free snorkeling equipment to borrow. So don’t be disrespectful and bring the equipment back for the others (I wasn’t lucky. I didn’t have an opportunity to borrow it even once). Wi-fi was working perfectly, I can recommend it if you work remotely.

Well, everything was incredible. From the moment we booked the hotel to the moment we left, everything exceeded our expectations. This family-run hotel reached out to us after booking to confirm our stay (6+ months in advance). Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly smiles and very helpful tips on what to see and where to find things on Koh Tao. They sent us a message in the app with everything from viewpoints, restaurants, and local services we might be interested in. The room was very clean, the balcony had a nice cozy feel to it, and the laundry service offered was efficient. I can't speak highly enough about the cafe tied to the hotel. This entire hotel is family-run including the cafe. Their menu is excellent and offers a variety of homemade meals to cater to everyone. The food was fresh and the croissants...well, the croissants are some of the best we've ever had (especially the chocolate croissants)! Their location is ideal for couples or families looking to get away from the party beaches while still only being a 15 minute walk away from everything. Our 2 week trip across Thailand was made memorable largely from The Big Tree Boutique Hotel. If, and when, we come back I will certainly be staying here on Koh Tao.

Loved Koh Tao the ocean was beautiful to swim in. It is definitely very popular with the younger crowd we were travelling as a family of 5 and we had the best time. One daughter got her diving ticket the rest of us hired a long boat and went snorkeling it was fantastic

We came here to have a relaxing week during National Week in...

We came here to have a relaxing week during National Week in October. My husband and daughter had some of the best scuba diving experiences and they would definitely love to go back and do more dives (yet there are so many other places to go and see....). We stayed in the southeast for the first part of the trip, and found that to be a bit secluded - great resort, but a little too isolated and cut off for us overall. The second half we stayed in Sairee Beach area and it was amazing! So much going on and great restaurants and sunset views at your fingertips. We had wanted to rent scooters to explore the island more, but after seeing the condition of the roads (very steep and sharp turns), and so many people with "Thailand tattoos" from road rash, we decided against it, so we didn't get to see as much as we'd hoped. Maybe next time....

Excellent town and beaches stunning view's from my hotel right in beach , golden sands lots bars and restaurants available on beach and in town , excellent ferry service and transfer to hotel lots beach activities available crystal clear waters wonderful food in town excellent shopping mall and night market, great place to enjoy for all family very safe place highly recommended visiting recommended use the ferry service for all your transfer they very well organised and peace of mind

LOVELY PLACE..SMALL TOWN AND LESS CROWDED AND PLENTY OF DIVE-WORTHY SPOTS ALL AROUND..PLENTY OF BEAUTIFUL BEACHES ALL AROUND AND ALL ACCESSIBLE BY SMALL BOATS.. ITS A DIVERS PARADISE..ESPECIALLY KOH-NANGYUAN

Fantastic location.

Fantastic location. I wish they could do little more on the breakfast . The room is ok. I don't like when you have to take shoe off when you go in the lounge or the restaurant. The lounge need to updated. Staff resting on rhe sofa too which is weird.

A breathtaking location! I have no idea why people down rated this hotel. Our stay was just perfect! The best best beach in whole Thailand! Rooms are super nice (bathroom is little old but it was ok for us), big and very comfortable. There are limited food selection but it was more than enough for us even with a 6 yo kid. Staff were completely helpful including lobby, beach, room. They really helped a lot. To stay in this hotel is not just a stay, it is an experience, it is a must do if you are visiting Koh Tao!

Great location to walk around the pier area and Sairee beach. Staff by the pool and reception were very friendly and helpful. We had a big room with a nice balcony overlooking the pool area. The hotel never felt crowded or too busy and it was a good base to explore Koh Tao centre :) For us it worked well to combine a more remote, beachy accommodation with Montra to experience different locations while staying on the island.

Expectational service !! We enjoyed a lot from the service. The level of service is way above any 4 star hotel we experienced so far. From the moment of check in you understand that they are here to give you the best experience. The attention to the details is great. The resort offers yoga classes and live music + fire show at the restaurant in the beach in dinner time. Rooms are very big and comfortable. Amazing bed.

The hostel is in a quiet street but within 5 min walk to the Main Street/beach. The owner is very friendly and knows the island well- thank you so much :) the hostel is also mostly quiet and close to Roctopus diving school!
