Nice place with extraordinary view with great very polite and professional Staff. Amazing swiming pool facing the Mekong river. The best restaurant in the town (when you go there don't miss the fish, either steamed or fried). Even the town is not very turistic and its only known from the border pass its really worth to stop there for a couple of nights!

The Breakfast was cooked by Jam the owner an Meow her friend and assistant, nothing was too much trouble, what ever type of food you asked for Jam tried her best to provide it was always freshly cooked in front of you eyes, The Hotel wasn't over crowded and the pool was a lovely size and was lovely and clean as was the room, there was a supermarket at the end of the road and a lovely promenade to walk into town by the stunning Mekong River. also plenty of opportunity for excursions. Also John was there to have a friendly chat over a cool beer.

The hotel is in a great location; it is away from the town centre and so free of traffic noise. The views from our room were great, looking out over the lawns and the fiends towards the Maekong and Laos beyond. Our room was by far the best we have had in Thailand on this trip, being both spacious, beautifully designed and comfortable. The owner is kind, helpful and knowledgable. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in the restaurant. It is a motorcyle friendly hotel too. There is safe parking off the road and good advice on trips to take. The Maekong and town are a short walk away 20 - 30 minutes, if you don’t want to drive. Bicycles are available for hire I believe. Strongly recommended. A real highlight of our trip this year.

Great and comfy little house. First I thought I'd stay for just 1 night to rest before going to Laos, but ended up staying for 2 nights on my way to Laos and 1 night on my way back. What I liked: - you have a separate private house in a beautiful landscape - there is a desk/table and wifi, good for us working nomads - there are all the usual amenities like good AC, kettle, coffee, toiletries, water etc. - TV works great, I watched some films from my usb drive. - there is an outside kitchen with fridge, microwave, dishes etc. - cute cats and dogs on the territory - the host is so kind and helpful. He offers transfer to and from the border and the bus station, and also he agreed to keep my scooter for the time of my trip to Laos I would gladly just chill there for a week (if only I had the time). Next time I'm around, I'll definitely stay there again.

Warin’s house is located in a small village in Wiang Kaen. It’s a cozy, quiet home built by the village, surrounded by nature, with a stunning view overlooking the Mekong River. We had a lovely night there—wish we could have stayed longer! Warin was incredibly kind and helped us arrange the slow boat to Luang Prabang, which made us feel so warm and welcomed. Highly recommended!
