Location is so convenient to the centre. It's quiet and spacious. We are a family of 3 living in a family room, which technically is two rooms merged into one so room is massive. Like massive with two bathrooms with dry kitchen provided (like microwave and plates) convenient for us as we go on tour all day and just ordered Grab deliveries. And warm them up.

We loved this hotel! The staff and facilities are great - most rooms face the pool in a central courtyard where there is also a pool bar and a restaurant. The hotel location is perfect and everything is easily accessible. The breakfast is huge and tasty and has great variety. The room was beautiful and every detail was thought of.

Bed was so comfy. Room was spacious as well as bathroom. They also gave us free bottles of water that we can had as many as we wanted. They also let us use bathroom next to the pool before check-in and after check-out which was very useful especially we wanted to take a bath before boarding the overnight train back to Bangkok. Staff were also attentive and polite.

Staff helpfulness was outstanding. Commitment to earth-friendly practices was the best I have experienced. Food was abundant and excellent- fresh fruit and rice in banana leaves always available, as were water, coffees and tea.. Breakfast was excellent, with both Asian and Western options. Great variety of temples, museum, coffee and restaurant hopping, bars with happy hour, hikes, elephants, or a daytrip to Chiang Rai.

We enjoyed our time in Chiang Mai, especially Wat Pha Lat, which is a somewhat hidden forest temple that is very tranquil and lovely. It's not on a lot of tours but is near the big temple on Doi Suthep mountain so it is easy to add it. You can hike the mountain but we found it pretty strenuous (but then, we are older). We do NOT recommend taking a "Red taxi tour" which is uncomfortable and has you breathing a lot of fumes. It's cheap though. But tours through other companies are reasonable and more comfortable. Take a Thai cooking class, which is cheap and absolutely wonderful. We also enjoyed a day-tour of Chiang Dao cave and the Hill Tribes.

Chiang Mai is the capital of north Thailand and worth a visit of a couple of weeks. Less hot and humid than Bangkok. Also calmer and friendlier. Avoid in the smoky season (April and May) when the area farmers burn off stuff they don’t like and create horrendous smog for everyone. Once the monsoon starts that goes away. Red trucks are good for getting around but you need to understand how they work. Good veggie restaurant on Monmong north of tapae gate.

People are very friendly.

People are very friendly. Although the city is busy we found the traffic easy to navigate and drivers stopped to let pedestrians cross the road. Beautiful places to visit. Loved the waterfalls and elephant care facilities. Food was amazing and so were the massages.

I like SE Asia as my destination choice of travel and, simply love Chang Mai. Generally I tend to visit during the end of the peak season rather than the beginning of it. In my view it also gives a fair chance to speak with other world wide travellers, pick up tips and suggestions for other places of interest.

Chiang Mai was very beautiful, a relaxed atmosphere and we always felt extremely safe, even late at night. It’s not overflowing with activities but if you are content in exploring the many markets and backstreets, the great cooking classes and of course visiting the amazing elephants, Chiang Mai could be for you! Getting around was so easy, we did find that calling a car on the local app was a lot cheaper than the taxis or the Tuk Tuks. Street food is amazing and so cheap.. just look to see where the locals are eating and you can’t go wrong!,

Manager of hotel always smiling and speaking with all guests trying to do all the best for tourists comfort. The small drawback is that the sound insulation is a little poor, the footsteps and conversations outside the door are very clear, it should be a common problem for hotels in the Old Town District.
