Reopened hotel after covid I guess. Very nice ang clean room with own terrace. The beach is not good for swimming so it is great to have a pool. Used it every day. Helpful staff✌️

The secret garden is amazing! We stayed here for 5 nights and we would highly recommend! Thanks so much to Joy and Frank, they were super helpful and great hosts! Our stayed began with us having a problem with our scooter closer to the central of the island and Frank drove us there so we could return the scooter which really helped us a lot. We were able to hire a scooter at the secret garden for 250 bath per day which was good because it is a necessity to have a scooter to drive around and explore this beautiful island. The bungalows are newly built so very modern and super clean. The bed was comfortable and yeah really the bungalow was great! The area itself is beautiful and very calm and quiet which we loved as well. During our stay Joy and Frank were always happy to help in any way and again super friendly. Joy also helped us book a taxi and speedboat back to Phuket which was great which made us save a few hundred baths. If we ever come back to Koh Yao Yai we are definitely coming back to The Secret Garden!

The auntie and uncle running the place are two of the warmest, kindest, and most genuinely caring people we met on our trip – always there if you need them, but never intrusive. The kind of hosts you just carry in your heart after you leave. Our deluxe room had everything we needed for the perfect island stay: a comfy bed, cold air conditioning, spotless cleanliness, and a hammock waiting outside for lazy afternoons. The grounds are beautifully kept, the beach is just steps away, and you can rent scooters or kayaks for your own little adventures. Best of all, it’s far from the overpriced, overly polished resorts – this is simple, authentic island living done right. Very nice place. The lady owner and the cleaning lady was very nice and helpful. The room was great with a big balcony. We got a couple of bottles of free water every day. Would absolutely go back!

Fantastic all around! Infrastructure, the quality of the actual rooms and buildings is top notch! Design 10/10. The maintenance of the hotel you can tell is working for their favour, not an inch to complain about. Some of the best landscaping i have seen, hats off! Staff, management and every interaction we had, was 10/10. The properties location makes it a perfect secluded cocoon of bliss. I cannot recommend enough and this is for sure Anantaras new flagship property! Worth noting we went with my wife and 7 month old boy and cannot be happier with our choice as the hotel was very well suited for both families with kids of all ages and also couples and adult travellers, which is not easy to pull off!

The owner waz amazing and very helpful, she helped arrange the bike rental and was very hospitable. The location is remote and very quiet and the surrounding view of the montains and jungle is amazing. The beds are huge and comfortable. Furthermore, I've had an awesome time with the hostel's guests. This hostel is a hidden gem in Koh Yao Yai.
