We have stayed at Avatar a few times and this was the best stay so far. While some guests might find the rooms a bit dark they stay nice and cool with the extreme heat outside. The aircon worked well, great water pressure in the shower, excellent wifi and very friendly, attentive staff. Of course there is a very nice cool pool to relax in. The breakfast was great with a nice variety of food to please everyone. The fantastic coffee/hot chocolate machine is a huge plus. Another nice touch is the cold and hot water machines which are located close to each room. We stayed for 9 nights and loved every moment of it and will definitely go back.

Room is amazing !!!!!!!!!!!! Like a 5star lodge rooms !! Love it they hace balcony and roof top at the lodge. Lounging area at the restaurant has good view. Wifi is good. This was our 2nd stay in this hotel within one year,this time we parked our car in the hotel parking and were transported by tuktuk to the pier where we took a longtail boat to Railay East, the hotel entrace is very near to the pier , the room was spacious, we tried the breakfast , it was very nice with beautiful view, we also tried dinner in the restaurant during sunset, the food was very tasty, upon check out, we requested for private boat to our car park, our request was arranged within few minutes, the difference for private boat is that you can catch them for the hotel entrance (no need to walk on the pier with your luggage), also tuktuk will be awaitng for you on the other side to take you to the car.. rooms are very spacious, and the hotle occupying both sides of Railay, so we never felt far away from our room...(sunset wing)

It was our fifth time staying at the hotel and as always did not disappoint. There were definitely some very good improvements compared to our stay two years ago. Rooms have been upgraded, pool area was also well maintained and the restaurant as always served excellent food. Breakfast was excellent in terms of variety and quality of food.

It is useful to note that there are multiple long boats and piers to access Railay. The safest route is to the east beach from Ao Nammao pier where you can safely park a hire car for a reasonable cost. If you don’t have your own transport, there are various options such as taxis. I ripped a pair of shorts at another pier which is not a great setup.

Railay was one of my favourite locations during our month...

Railay was one of my favourite locations during our month long holiday. We stayed here for 4 nights, I would have stayed longer. I loved the laid back feel of the town, everything is in walking distance.

Beautiful spot for a beach holiday.

Beautiful spot for a beach holiday. The landscape is totally stunning. Railay Beach is very touristy during the day though, since most boats from the mainland arrive on that side of the peninsula. I would recommend to spend some time walking towards the south beach of Phra Nang Beach which is a lot quieter and has some pretty amazing rock formations right in front of it.

The majestic cliffs that meet the water are stunning ! Easy to get get boat to phi phi islands and other islands for a day trip . Great freash grilled daily caught seafood on the walking street . Get up early to enjoy this stunning location without the crowds . It gets too crowded mid day

We had 3 nights here but in truth could have done 2 nights.

We had 3 nights here but in truth could have done 2 nights. The staff are amazing though. We had a wary flight to catch from Krabi. We were quite worried about making it in time, but the hotel provides a boat and a van on the main Island to take you to the airport. This was not only put our minds a peace it’s also ran so smoothly. All in all worth a visit as the scenery is stunning, but we felt 2 nights would have been enough.

Beautiful location.

Beautiful location. Phra Nang beach is a must go to, simply stunning. The beach village is ok, not too much to do but coming to pick a restaurant at the food street. Being on a side resort watching the view was an amazing experience.

The place the hotel is located in is absolutely amazing. In the middle of the natural park with view to the ocean. The pool and its area have the best view, and the music at the pool also helps creating a wonderful atmosphere. Walking 10 to 15 minutes you are already at 2 of the most beautiful beaches you may have seen: Railay Beach West and Phra Nang.

This hotel's location is excellent, right on Railay beach and only a short stroll from the walking street on the island. The pool area(s) were in good locations (one by the beach and one nearer the middle of the resort), and the resort supermarket and pharmacy came in very handy for stocking up on water / snacks for our various boat trips.

Great location - the property’s reception is right off the main pier on the west side of the island. The hotel then spans all along to the east side. This is the nicer side of the island and where the restaurant and main pool is. The rooms on the east side [your sunset rooms] are very good, they’re huge, updated and good bathroom.
