Everything! The room was such a nice surprise. Bigger than we expected. It was so beautiful, clean, warm in winter and comfortable. It was a beautiful experience. Dinner was also delicious, best vegetarian couscous we tried in Tunisia! The family was very welcoming and Musa was so helpful and attentive. It couldn't have been any better and we wished we could have stayed longer!

Very interesting accommodation, characteristic of the surrounding place. The cave-like room is very cozy and with every comfort. The staff is extremely kind and available. The restaurant is also very good.

It s a perfect place for visiting Matmata and make trips to Sahara or other berber villages. It s clean, nice rooms, confortable and Jamal &Rabia are the perfect host and very helpful with everything we needed. They give us good advise on what to visit and also Jamel was our guide to Sahara.

Big kind welcome by Joseph. He understood what two weary cyclist needed after a day in 35+ temperatures. Even let us choose from two big apartments and threw in a free breakfast at five!! In the morning so we could start pedaling in agreeable temperatures.. big 10 out of 10

True rural Tunisian hospitality from the Amazighe family who run the dar. A brilliant place to stay if you like being off the beaten track and want a genuine taste of how local Tunisians live. My room was beautifully decorated with traditional rugs and woven shawls and was cosy and comfortable. I was so well looked after by 3 generations of the family who came up in the evening, when we all shared a meal together. There are 3 lovely friendly dogs, a magnificent cat, 2 peacocks and several goats on the dar as well. My dog did not want to leave as she had made so many friends there.

he place is in a beautiful location, in a charming little village, and the staff are incredibly friendly, very cool people 😎The dinner experience is also fantastic! From my personal experience, being there made me feel closer to nature, which was truly refreshing. There’s no internet in the rooms — luckily! It’s simple, yet perfect in its simplicity, offering peace and relaxation. The communal areas open up to the sky, and outside, you’re surrounded by the Atlas Mountains. You can hear the sounds of the village life — the gentle hum of a passing motorbike, goats, roosters, and, at specific times, the call to prayer from the mosque, which in this setting feels particularly beautiful to listen to. It’s a peaceful, unique, and grounding experience.
