Beautiful area. We had never been. We were just returning from a cruise. It is close to several beaches, the Queen Mary and LA. We went to LA while there. We just had the best time and it was so relaxing. I would definitely go back. We got to go to Rosco's Chicken & Waffles. The food was amazing. We had never been to it before. We took an amazing tour to the Hollywood sign and to Beverly Hills thru VIP Hollywood Tours. It was amazing. Great pictures and tour guide(Justin). Long Beach is a destination that offers plenty of walking sights and sounds. If you're looking for a quirky place to stay, consider the Queen Mary. Dining on this historic ship provides a unique evening experience. Bask in a different time when life was simpler and people took pride in their appearance. The boardwalks and shopping streets make for a great alternative to lounging by the swimming pool. It is walking distance from the conference center in Long Beach. The building looks old but the rooms are renovated, spacious and well decorated. There are two petrol stations around the corner to get some snacks. I needed them to keep my lugagge after check-out for a couple of hours and that worked very well.
