My wife and I were in town for the Lone Star STOL...

My wife and I were in town for the Lone Star STOL competition at the local airport, this is our second year and will return next year for the event. We arrived on Halloween night and we were impressed with the downtown activities & costumes. We walked the downtown area several days and enjoyed 3 different restaurants and found the service and food were great at each one. The local shopping in good. We love the Court House square.

The facility was under major remodeling construction & was noisy & dusty. Would have booked elsewhere if I had known that. Room was decent but furniture was stained. A/C in room wasn’t working, had to ask for another room. After a couple of late night calls, finally got another room. Feel it will be nicer once remodeling is completed.

Some of the basic amenities were missing that I would have expected to be normally included like no bath soap, blow dryer didn’t work. Key card had to be reprogrammed again before it worked. There was no coffee for the breakfast bar… otherwise everything was fine.

I had originally looked for motels closer to Dallas, but the reviews for those places were not good. I then looked for motels in Sulphur Springs. Their reviews were much better, and I'm glad I chose this motel.

I had only spent the night there and I had to leave before breakfast. However, the hotel's location is good, with plenty of space in the parking lot. The room was spacious and clean.

Very clean nice hotel. Lots of meal options very close by. Very quiet and pleasant stay. Very well kept breakfast area. A very nice area to walk dogs and cook out, out back.
