Lovely place and hosts! Absolutely clean, very nice cottage and interesting interior - many details that Shirley and Mark made them self's. Shirley and Mark was very friendly, many thanks for them! The location is second to none, incredible ocean and mountain vistas almost wherever you look, but what really made this experience something special are the staff, they are attentive, engaging and friendly. What really struck me about the staff is how much they actually care about your experience, always asking “can I help you with x” or “we can do y if that’s better for you” etc without skipping a beat!

We loved everything: The beautiful decorated and big room, the private and the main terrace with nice pool, the perfect view (most stunning sunset included), the direct access to the beach for a morning swim, the delicious breakfast afterwards, the lovely service and very friendly hosts.     Franskraal is on the far end of Gansbaai, Nice area within a couple of kilometers from each other. Worthwhile visiting ... De Kelders Caves, nice hike, beautiful to see. Stanford Cove good with tidal pool, also a nice hike. Sunsets good, beaches good for picking up a shell or two. Shark diving available in Kleinbaai ..

    The fact that the unit has an upper and ground level floor...

    The fact that the unit has an upper and ground level floor can be disturbing as the people staying in the ground level unit hear every sound in the upper level. The latter can be disturbing if you go there to rest, although the rules that stipulate no children and no noise before 6 o'clock in the morning and 10 p.m. help.

    Franskraal is a very beautiful, but quiet unspoilt part of the coast. This is ideal for those looking for this kind of holiday, perhaps not for those looking for a more active night life and restuarant choices.

    The location was beautiful - perfect for our family with smaller children who spent hours exploring the beach and pools right in front of the house. The little convenience store stocked all the basics and Kuslangs Restaurant was the perfect spot to pick up some delicious Fish and Chips for lunch.

    This property is listed at being in Franskraal which it is NOT. The property is situated in the Uilenkraalsmond-resort which is next to Franskraal. There is a difference staying in Franskraal and staying in Uilenkraalsmond-resort. The listing is not correct.
