The Whyte House is a beautiful property - very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The garden and views of the mountain are wonderful. Rob was a great host, his staff were excellent and the dogs were super friendly! The breakfast was outstanding with lots of delicious options to choose from. I would highly recommend The Whyte House to anyone visiting Graaff-Reinet and I would definitely stay there again.

What an exceptional place to stay! 5 star treatment from the moment you arrive! Two hosts who care for every single detail of your visit - starting from the personalised welcome messages, perfectly prepared room, details of activities in the area, scrumptious breakfast etc. etc. etc. The list of praise is endless! Acacia Home is PERFECTLY located in a quiet street, just a few minutes from all local shops, restaurants and amenities. We enjoyed the garden, the beautiful pool and immaculately decorated courtyard seating area. We highly recommend Acacia Home to both local and international guests alike! Lovely accommodation that I simply cannot fault. The property is situated in a beautiful, quiet and safe area. The unit was well thought out, comfortable and super clean. It was also an added bonus to have safe undercover parking situated on the property at the entrance of the unit. Outstanding and very responsive communication from the host. A delightful town, well worth a visit of 2-3 days.

A delightful town, well worth a visit of 2-3 days. Clean and picturesque with great history. The Karoo Origins fossil museum is world class and an absolute must. We also enjoyed the Hester Rupert art gallery, military museum and Reinet House. A stunning Dutch Reformed Church, inside and out. Great restaurants and coffee shops. Do yourself a favour and spend time here! Also visit the Valley of Desolation in nearby Camdeboo National Park with your camera and picnic basket.

1. Early morning or evening walk in the Valley of Desolation is a must do activity - 10 minutes drive from the town to park gates. 2. The fossil museum is fascinating, and explains how the topography of South Africa was formed. It houses the world-famous Rubidge Fossil Collection, the biggest collection of unique species in the world. https://fossilcentre.co.za/rubidge-fossil-collection/

The town has a long history and it is very well worthwhile...

The town has a long history and it is very well worthwhile exploring the sights in town as well as the nature reserves nearby. The Valley of Desolation is amazing. Plenty of good places to eat in town. On Sundays the town is very quiet.

It was easy to find the accommodation.

It was easy to find the accommodation. Graaff - Reinet is a must visit town! I found the staff at 4 Rothman street B & B to be professional, friendly and helpful in particlar due to the fact that I arrived very late. Unfortunately it was only overnight stay. I will visit Graaf - Reinet again to explore more of the town and surrounds.

We enjoyed our lunch at Maria's café as well as dinner at...

We enjoyed our lunch at Maria's café as well as dinner at Coldstream Restaurant and visited the Graaff-Reinet Museum. We also browsed through local small business shops and bought very delicious dried fruit at Kamdeboo Slaghuis. The highlight of our visit to Graaff-Reinet was most definitely our stay at the Drostdy Hotel with superb breakfast. The friendly hospitality of the well trained staff stood out. We will definitely visit Graaff-Reinet again in near future.

We spent 4 days in total in Graaf Reinet which was perfect...

We spent 4 days in total in Graaf Reinet which was perfect for visiting Camdeboo, valley of desolation, museums, restaurants, general sightseeing. Make sure you visit the new fossil centre - it is truly world class.

The property is perfect for an overnight stay in Graaff-Reinet. We stayed in The Tradesman. The host was very helpful to assist us with obtaining the keys and the house itself was clean, modern and very centrally located within the town. The portrait of the lady and the cross just below it, is a nice touch for people with an active imagination :-) We also obtained a complementary rum tasting with our booking at the Afrikanis Rum Room, which we really enjoyed. Overall we wouldn't mind staying at the property again.

Fantastic, beautiful place, wonderful hosts. Great facilities, secure parking.. with their inverter we didn't even feel the loadshedding. Manuela and Yigale are great hosts. Served up the most amazing breakfast. We were sorry we had to leave so soon. Most definitely now our favorite place in Graaff-Reinet. They stand out above the rest. Superb!
