The stay was better than we have expected. The hotel is amazing so are the rooms. The team is awesome. Linda and Jennifer took really good care of us and Caitlynn, our guide was amazing. She listened to us and helped us find the animals we were hoping to see. Marataba made our honeymoon awesome. It's truly one of the best hotels we've ever been to. The little attentions and surprises made our stay unforgettable.

I loved waking up to the beautiful mountains views. It is exactly what I was looking for, the view, serenity, a running/walking trail for those who like that, perfect for someone who wants to have a peaceful place that feels like home away from home. The kitchen and the bathroom are spacious. And she was kind enough to let me park my car under the shade since it was raining. Laurette (the owner) made sure that I was comfortable as possibly as I can. She was also kind enough to educate me about her plants and for letting me have her tasty fruits that were ripe in her garden. I also got some plants to plant back in Jhb. The hospitality at Van Ross was out of this world. I feel like I am part of the family now.

A good location for a stress-free stay in Thabazimbi, Boschfontein Guest Farm is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain.

Our stay was a dream! I traveled with 2 of my best friends and we were made to feel so welcome from the minute we arrived. Nothing was too much for the team at the lodge. They all went out of their way to make our stay memorable - from driving around until we saw all of the unbelievable game on our bucket list, to the incredible food - lots of salad options (perfect for new years resolutions), great quality meals and beautifully prepared, to the comfortable rooms and stunning deck and pool. We really liked this secluded and authentic former research station-turned B&B. Naturally there was the odd spider or moth hanging out inside the house but that is completely fine given the location in the bush. We also liked the spaciousness and the amount of ‘lebensraum’, the nice trail near the premises and of course the very friendly owners. Highly recommended.

While Griffon's rest is not for everyone - no electricity, but with an inverter to charge mobile phones and portable lights, the location is excellent! Deep inside the heart of the Marikela National Game Reserve. I was told on the day of my arrival that I missed an elephant sighting by about 30 mins! Oh, be aware that there are only spotty mobile networks

Our stay at Elephants Crossing was nothing short of amazing, we loved every minute and were accommodated exceptionally by the very welcoming staff who followed through with every demand or favour. The lodge itself is so peaceful and relaxing and all our meals were outstanding with views of passing animals daily. The game drives were also conducted very well and you’d always finish the day seeing an array of different animals including the big 5!
