Murdoch Valley is part of Simonstown, a naval base town...
Murdoch Valley is part of Simonstown, a naval base town steeped in history. It is a mere 3.5km or 5 minutes drive south from Simonstown centre, where you can visit the Naval Museum, the Simonstown Museum, or explore the many interesting shops and restaurants. You can also visit Boulders Beach to see the resident penguin colony. In summer, you can even swim with the penguins at the neighbouring Seaforth beach. Further south from Murdock Valley for another 3.6km is the Black Marlin Restaurant, famous for its seafood and amazing seaviews. Driving further South, you will come to the Cape Point Nature Reserve(22.3km from Murdock valley). You can also just follow the road past the reserve entry and drive to Scarborough, Noordhoek, Kommetjie and find your way back to Murdock valley via Fishhoek. The entire drive is along coastal or mountainside roads with stunning views of the ocean and mountains. I absolutely loved my stay at Murdoch Valley.
I absolutely loved my stay at Murdoch Valley. It was the best. My favorite beach, Windmill Beach, is just a 10 minutes walk away from the property. The beautiful Boulders Beach is also just a few minutes within reach. The view from the property is to die for! You get to experience a clear view of both the sea and the beautiful mountains, all at the same time. The hosts, Katherine and Mike, are the best! They are very welcoming, kind, friendly and they love people, which made our stay so comfortable.
