If you're looking for the perfect balance between wild adventure and luxurious comfort,where nature and comfort coexist in perfect harmo, then look no further than Africamps. The tented accommodation was incredibly spacious and beautifully designed, blending into the surrounding landscape while still feeling like a high-end suite. Inside, the large bed was as plush and comfortable as any five-star hotel, complete with crisp linens and cozy throws. The kitchenette was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare meals with ease – though, truth be told, we spent most of our time cooking outside. The outdoor braai area was perfect.and the wood-fired hot tub was the cherry on top – perfect for unwinding under the stars with a glass of wine in hand. The best part? The wildlife. From the comfort of our deck, we watched ostriches strut by, zebras grazing in the distance, and waterbuck meandering through the bush. It was like having our own personal safari without ever leaving the tent. This is glamping at its finest – all the immersion of the wilderness with none of the roughing it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort.

The most friendly hosts one can imagine. Bosveldrus in Vaalwater serves as our anchor point in Northern SA from now on. We would come back anytime. Our condo was spotless clean. A cosy bed, a quiet environment and a beautiful yard to chill made out stay very enjoyable. The whole family proved themselves as trustable guides for any kind of question about the area and beyond. Even assisting in finding (non existent ;) issues with our 4x4. Fully recommended.

Had the best time! We came here to relax at the end of a Botswana, South Africa road trip. The lodge is beautiful and peacefully located. The view is amazing. The staff is just the best. We felt so “at home” here. It is not a big 5 game place, but they state what game they have on their website so we were fully aware of this. We enjoyed the game drive very much due to great explanations. If you are coming for a relaxing getaway in the bush, and not for a big 5 safari, this is the place!

The game reserve is well stocked with plains game, great birdlife and for horse lovers - there is an option for game viewing on horseback. There are well marked trails for walkers and the proprietor is one of the leading astronomy guides in South Africa - so do ask about these spectacular and informative astronomy shows when booking. This is a fascinating part of the world - allow yourself to be immerse in nature AND one of South Africa's historical gems.

This property was a pleasant surprise, and we loved being right on the river. The units are basic, but have all that you need to have an enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay here again if travelling that way, or even for a little getaway.

The stargazing night safari was out of this world!

The stargazing night safari was out of this world! It was a privilege to have all our physics questions answered by specialist Dr Phil. We will be back for more learning from him. There were ample activities available to choose from. Pricing were just a bit steep to do more.

Absolutely loved our long weekend stay at this gorgeous bush...

Absolutely loved our long weekend stay at this gorgeous bush location. Our unit was really gorgeous with everything you need for a cozy, relaxing stay. Totally peaceful and quiet - beautiful hikes or biking trails through the game reserve, where you can see many different types of antelope and wildlife (not the Big 5). The have e-bikes for hire which was an amazing new experience for us. Liz took us out and we really had fun. She also offers massages and we had a wonderful back and neck massage on our first day, which really relaxed us and got us into the holiday mood. Our unit had an outdoor wood fired hot tub which is so wonderful to destress in and you can watch the stars at night in there for hours! We cant wait to go back again. Highly reccommended

Vaalwater is a small town but it is surrounded by some...

Vaalwater is a small town but it is surrounded by some fabulous scenery and a number of excellent wildlife farms. Most of the farms are as you would expect remote so a 4x4 would be useful - check access.

Vaalwater is a very quiet town with many game farms.

Vaalwater is a very quiet town with many game farms. We loved Kigeni Game Farm and also visited Jugomaro- they have tigers, lions, wolves and lynx. We got to feed the lions and wolves and pet the lynx which was very enjoyable and informative.
