We had such a lovely time on the farm! Sanelle gave us warm welcome and the accommodation itself is wonderful. We walked among the zebras and the giraffes, enjoyed the views and natures sounds and immediately regretted that we only booked one night.

We loved everything about the place. There are so many things in the house that make the property very practical. For example, there was an ice maker, coffee machine with flavors, soda stream, microwave, 2 fridges, washing machine and detergent, lunchboxes, plates, cutlery, smart tv, WiFi, puzzles, a dart board, braai area with everything you need, camp chairs and of course the star of the show - the Kolkol Hottub! I could keep counting forever

We had lunch at the pig and plough, nice menu - slow service, however, we still enjoyed the food and the venue. The Thokozi restaurant and Deli, good food and a nice variety. Sandra se Winkel was an experience - well worth going to when you are in the area.

Winterton’s most attractive aspect is its proximity to the surrounding countryside and the magnificent Drakensberg mountains! There are some good eating places worth a visit! There are a number of churches and a museum for those interested! Winterton boasts with numerous accommodation facilities, all countrified and cosy!

The tour was outstanding (by the owner)of the Anglo Boer...

The tour was outstanding (by the owner)of the Anglo Boer battle sites. The location is perfect at Spionkop. The charming rooms could do with some aircon and bathrooms could do with modernisation but this shouldnt put off anyone from experiencing the Lodge. The staff all very friendly.

It’s quite relaxing, very beautiful mountains, breathtaking, tranquility l like everything about it. Mostly the place is very very safe you could just walk around with your gadgets and other personal belongings without any fear

The Drakensberg is and always will be an amazing holiday...

The Drakensberg is and always will be an amazing holiday venue. Lots to do and plenty of places to eat. Scrumpy Jacks is overrated and I would skip this venue and rather go to The Valley Bakery for either a breakfast, lunch or snack - freshly baked and good value for money. The Dragons restaurant at Dragons Peak was our best meal of the trip and the menu is varied and well priced. Lots of stunning hikes all around and plenty of places of interest to visit. Quad bikes, Scoot Tours, Canopy tours, Bird of Prey centre, Reptile centre, ceramic, candle & carpet weavers and the list goes on.

Beautiful place with the possibility of free movement in the...

Beautiful place with the possibility of free movement in the surrounding nature. Very nicely maintained surroundings of the accommodation. Excellent restaurant and delicious meals. Swimming pool. The staff is pleasant and friendly. I can highly recommend.

Comfortable stay on a working farm 4km outside Winterton. Spa bath and shower in a spacious bathroom. The down duvet was a winner in winter. We awoke to bird song in the morning. Facilities include a braai and outside seating with a lovely view.

Oh My Word!!! Best place in the Drakensberg by miles. I cannot recommend Cathederal Peak Hotel high enough. The staff 10/10. Facilities 10/10. Food out of this world 10/10.
