This was an exceptional find right on the Pekoe trail at Makulella. beautiful rooms, excellent dinner and breakfast with hosts Chandra and Dan. They have turned their property into a small garden paradise! Great for trail walkers. Thank you for our stay and for sharing your stories.

The house is in a quiet place not far from Bandarawela town center. Here you can enjoy a very peaceful stay in nature. We cooked our meals and ate outside. The house is very clean and fully furnished. Lal is the house keeper living next door. He is a very kind person and can help you with all your needs. He is also a great singer :) we recommend this place

I had a wonderful stay at this property. The place was clean, spacious, and well-maintained. I especially loved the peaceful environment and beautiful surroundings—it felt like a perfect getaway. Very good tasty breakfast. Calm and quiet location. It is excellent for family stay. Niluka and husband was very friendly and helpful. It is is a perfect bungalow. We will stay again there next time when I go to Bandarawela. Hospitality at very best.

Breathtaking view of the valleys from each of the rooms/villas As we were staying 5 nights Dinushka (manager) upgraded us to a bigger room with a huge window facing the valley in the shower Food was delicious and the portions were quite large. Our favourite was the pumpkin soup and chicken curry Each of the staff members went above and beyond to make us feel home Dinushka helped us arrange for transport to Diyaluma waterfalls (highly recommended - even better than little Adam’s peak) She also helped us purchase the train tickets (Ella - Nuwara Eliya) and transport to the station

Very nice place with many little nooks and corners with nice couches to relax and read a book. Comfortable bedrooms and breakfast options. We used this as a base to travel to ella by train, The staff are extremely helpful I wanted some steam to inhale, they organised the steam and also offered some herbs to add to the steam. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Perfect location in a quiet street - close to the bus stop, a few minutes walk from the centre, near the trailheads of 9 arch bridge and Little Adam’s Peak (perfect especially for a sunrise hike). The Fantastic caretaker makes sure the guests feel welcome and is ready to help with anything! He Also prepares delicious local breakfast with fresh fruits. The property is clean and has a lovely balkony.

We had a great time at this laid-back cottage! The room was comfortable and clean, the terrace perfect for stunning views and a beautiful sunrise. We enjoyed ithe delicious breakfast and home-cooked dinner. The owners and his family were very friendly and helpful, we arranged lifts to hiking startpoints with them. We highly recommend it!

If you go to Ella, this is the place to stay. Here you have silence from all the tourists and really can enjoy time in nature, watching animals. More than in all other tourist attractions. So this place was our highlight in whole Ella. Also the breakfast was really amazing and the woman helps you with everything. For the hikers, you can start hiking here to Ella rock easily and therefore have the chance to be there a bit more early than others from the town centre.
