I recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful, nature-surrounded retreat and honestly, I wish I could have stayed longer. The entire experience was incredibly calming — nestled in the heart of nature, the serenity of the surroundings was just what we needed to unwind. What truly stood out, though, was the staff. Sydney, the General Manager, Kasun the Butler, the Chef and the entire team went above and beyond to accommodate my partner’s dietary restrictions, ensuring every meal was safe, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. The food was outstanding, fresh, and full of flavour, easily some of the best we’ve had while travelling. Their attention to detail and genuine care made us feel incredibly supported and welcomed. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully designed to blend in with the natural setting. We woke up to the sounds of birds and the rustling of trees — a rare and peaceful experience. If you're looking for a quiet, restorative escape with incredible food and even better hospitality, this is the place. We left feeling refreshed and so grateful — already dreaming of coming back.

Beautiful property, in the middle of nature and the tea plantation. The room was super large, with ceiling fan and mosquito net. Terence and the rest of the staff were really the highlight of our stay. They took such good care of us and treated us with such kindness, bringing us tea and fresh juices throughout the day. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner there for two days (always different), and this was really the best food we had in Sri Lanka. We could also fill up our water bottles at all time, which was very appreciated. Magnificent furniture, all from the colonial times, though it could be a bit cleaner (cushions and fabrics of the different sofas). The swimming pool was the perfect addition, after walking around in the hot weather. Finally, our visit to the tea factory was very interesting: we learnt a lot and were so happy to be able to buy their tea at the end, for a very decent price.

KandyLiving Villa was the best place we stayed at during our trip through Sri Lanka. Sandy and her family are lovely people who made sure we felt very welcome. We were expected with a welcome drink and a tour through her beautiful vegetables and fruit garden. The room was very tidy and looked exactly as beautiful as the pictures. The breakfast was really the best we had in Sri Lanka and we were able to try many delicious local dishes. All in all it was an amazing experience and we would definitely recommend to go there.

Spacious apartment on the first floor of a beautiful and tastefully decorated villa. The apartment had all the amenities, including a well-equipped kitchen. The hosts welcomed us with a fresh avocado drink and ice cream upon arrival. They were very attentive and willing to help us with anything. The host even personally drove us to Kandy for free, where he recommended an excellent restaurant. They also invited us to their home several times, where they prepared a delicious breakfast for free and told us about local customs. They also prepared tea for us on several occasions on the roof terrace, which has a beautiful view of the surroundings. We spent 3 nights in the villa and it was a wonderful experience that we highly recommend to everyone.

This place was just amazing, best part of our Sri Lankan road trip! It’s situated high up in the mountains with beautiful views and no people around. It’s so peaceful. I wish we could stay for weeks. The cottage is so comfy and well equipped. Erik, the owner, is great. He speaks really good English, always replies right away and organises anything you need. We had an old car and had hard times driving in the mountains so he organised parking spot for as and tuk to take us to the cottage. He also organised great guides to take us to Knuckles five peak trek. There is a dog Rocky who is super cute and friendly, making sure you’re safe during your stay. I highly recommend to order rice and curry too, it was so delicious!
