Beautiful place. Fantastic layout and an amazing kitchen with all the required crockery and utencils. Well thought out details and white goods. The view of the fjord from the balcony is lovely and a perfect setting for a morning coffee. The jacuzzi was a perfect place to end a very long day, for us. The house was spacious and didn't feel crowded for the 8 of us. Enough parking space for cars just in front of the house. Nice quiet area. Comfortable beds. A very nice sitting area in the basement floor.

Staying at Hallingstua is a unique adventure that I can 100% recommend! There’s so much heritage and hidden stories to explore, while the house still provides all the comfort you could ask for. The host is very kind and friendly and the surroundings are stunning. It’s possible to go swimming in a beautiful lake which is only a five minutes walk away as well as endless hiking possibilities. It was amazing, a historic house fully renovated and overwhelming comfy in the Norwegian "nowhere" with hosts who really care of their guests, prepared many lovingly things and information. Our stay was way too short to try hikes in the wood or using the raw boat. This is an absoluty "yes, anytime again"!
