After the hustle & bustle of Paihai it was great to come back to the sanctuary of our cottage each day. Opua Marina - quite a treasure. Easy car ferry over to Russell, General Store, several dining options, spotless laundromat right next door to best bar/cafe with a French Chef for delicious evening meal.
