Dinner was really delicious. We could Choose the time we wanted breakfast, which was so convenient. The owner was very nice and helpful. He Picked us up from the busstation, helped us with the Tickets for the Great Wall and After visiting the wall he drove us back to the Station.

Situated within 26 km of Great Wall of China - Huanghuacheng and 43 km of Ming Tombs, Yue Tong Farmer House features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Huairou. The property features mountain views and is 13 km from Shengquan Temple and 19 km from Hongluo Temple. The farm stay has family rooms. We loved our stay at Yue Tong Farm House. The couple was so kind and helpful and made our layover in Beijing worthwhile. They picked us up at the airport, made us a delicious dinner, the room was big and clean (mattress is a bit hard though), cooked us another delicious breakfast in the morning and took us to the great wall afterwards. In the end picked us up again and drove us to the airport. Everything went flawless. Although neither speak English, the translator does the job and the smiles do the rest.

We had a fantastic stay at the Badaling Hotel — it felt like home the moment I walked in! David and May are incredible hosts who truly care about their guests. We originally came to see the Badaling section of the Great Wall, but it was packed with tourists — there was already a queue from the cable car! Thankfully, we decided to book a tour with David, a true history lover. He guided us to a hidden section of the Wall with absolutely no other tourists in sight — peaceful, breathtaking, and unforgettable. Later, he brought us to a local farm where we enjoyed a delicious lunch made with fresh, local specialties and even visited an ancient Stone village where we tasted "warrior liquor." Truly the highlight of my China trip! Don’t miss the chance to take a tour with David if you want the real Great Wall experience.
